cost of alcohol and coffee

I have no idea how much these are, we rarely drink and never go out to bars, so I have absolutely no idea how much these might be onboard.

If you order the daily drink at the MDR, how much is the drink (just a rough guess please)

also, any idea how much the specialty coffees cost? Again, I don't drink coffee, but know DS does and I would like to treat him to a drink, but not sure how much these are.

This may be a dumb question, but do they make just normal iced coffee or mocha iced coffee? I don't know what half those coffee drinks are. I usually go to Dunkin' Donuts and get a plain iced coffee. Can I get one at Cove Café? TIA

Well, they do show a Café Mocha for $2.95. I don't see why they couldn't ice it. I'm pretty sure they could accommodate whatever coffee drink you'd like. It just may not actually be on the menu.

Yes, we've had plenty of iced mochas onboard. No problem at all to order a coffee drink iced.

Hi, coffee snob here. LOL Yes, they will make iced coffee drinks for you. If you buy from Cove Cay be sure to ask for a punch card. Buy so many and get one free. They never expire and can be transferred from ship to ship.
I have a full card waiting to come with my on my March 2016 trip!
Regular coffee from the drink stations is pretty horrible although, I've heard they have switched to Barnie's (drinkable but still on the meh side) on some of the ships. Feb 2015 on the Wonder still had the horrible stuff.

A random question....are there places on board that provide (free) hot water, like where the coffee/soda are provided at the soda fountains?

Gratuities are included automatically on the bill.
The drink stations have hot water. It's also available at Cabanas and via room service.
