Hi,
We'll be making our first trip w/ the baby to DW and thought it would be fun for him in years to come if we put his image on the leave a legacy wall in Epcot.

Does anyone know the cost or have details on what is involved?

Do you think it's worth it?

TIA

Thanks so much for directing me to all ears net. (like I really need another website to become addicted to :) I found the following so I thought I'd share:

Leave A Legacy - Introduced for the Millennium Celebration! Granite and steel sculptures are being covered with engraved images of Guests from all over the world. Here's how it works: Photo Capture Stations will take your photo digitally. It will then be etched onto a steel tile. Within approximately four days, the tile will become part of the stone sculptures.

The cost is $35 for one image per tile, $38 for two images per tile, plus tax.

There are computers at the site to show you where your tile is located. Certificates will also be mailed to you so you can come back on a future trip to see your Millennium image. Also within about 2 weeks, your image will be posted on the Internet at Disney's Leaving a Legacy page

Thanks again! :)

I just returned from Epcot on February 15th and they gave me different prices than listed above. They said it's $25 for 2 images on the tile, $20 for an additional image.

I don't remember the exact cost we paid (I'm pretty sure it was $25) for two images. Also, you get a discount if you have AAA. We did when we did it anyway!

Cool! I'm taking DD for her 5th trip to celebrate her 7th birthday. It will be just the 2 of us. This might be fun to do to remember this special trip. I'll be sure to ask about AAA discount.

I dont remember how much it cost us but DH and I did this on our honeymoon. When you get back home you get a card that shows you what the photo looks like. We also recieved two see through images of the photo. I was never sure what to do with these, but it is cool to think that for the next 20 years DH and I in our wedding ears will be on display in epcot.

It was more expensive earlier. 50 for just my 11 yr olds image. Said it would be 2 to 3 month's before it was placed due to backlog but he got his etching and coordinates and certificate about a month after we came home. He still gives his coordinates to friends going so they can "look" him up. He's got 17 more years before they replace it with someone else'e. Maybe he will be able to show his kids before it's gone.
