We have to have our liner replaced, it was destroyed over the winter. Our pool is pretty old, but is still structually good. Its a 24 foot round so its a pretty big size and we are wondering if we should have a new liner installed or just get a new pool. I am waiting on someone to come out to give us an estimate but he warned me he was pretty busy and may not be able to come until this weekend. I want to go up to the pool place tomorrow morning and price pools there but I want to be able to compare them to a liner install.
Would anyone be willing to share what you paid for a liner and installation for a pool around the same size? Thanks!

Ours was around $450, but we put it in ourselves.

Get estimates from more than one company!! In 2009 we had someone come out to give us an estimate on our pool. I don't know the size of our pool but its 4 feet deep and maybe 15 feet long. He gave us a price of $2500!! So we decided not to get it done mainly for the price plus it was really late in the season. So last year we called a different company and they told us $1000!! So we went with that and have not regreted it, I made sure to use our pool alot last year. Can't wait to open it this year.

We are going through the same thing. We have a 21ft round above ground pool. I called to get an estimate it was $199 for the liner and an additional $450 :scared1: for them to install it. We also need a new filter that would have been $300. We decided to take the pool down :sad1:, join the swim club for the summer and looking into getting a new pool in September when they are cheaper!

Good time for this thread, I got into our 24' round pool today for the first time. I don't know what a new liner will cost, but when we got our pool about 6 years ago we paid an extra $1,000 just for installation. That fact alone may have you thinking about only buying the liner.

Happy Swimming!!

Last year we got ours for just over $300 it is a flat bottom and our pool is a 24 foot one. We installed it.

Our above ground is 26' and our new liner was $599 cdn. and we installed it ourselves. A small fraction of what our pool cost new.
