cosplay and Disney inspired outfits for adults

My friend went for her birthday as Rapunzel. White and purple polka-dot dress, pale pink lanyard (with all Rapunzel pins), braided hair & I made her a Pascal to decorate a Celebrating button for her to clip to her backpack strap plus a Frying Pan for her birthday button! :D

I actually did this the other day just out running some errands, I used this design as my inspiration...(I forgot to take a pic though :headache:)

I had a black 3/4 sleeve shirt with lace sleeves and black flats with purple jeans

It's not exactly Disneybounding, but have you checked out Her Universe for Star Wars items? She has a lot of 'everyday cosplay' stuff that's super cute. You could even just look at the pics and use them as inspiration for a more bounding-like outfit.

Cool!!! great idea!!! I will have to check it out. If I find something I think can work I post it. Thank you for the lead.

That looks fun! If you wear it again take a pic to share. I have all my outfits now packed for our trip. Once I wear them I will take pictures and post them. My son is even excited! One day I am going as Elsa inspired. and he is going as the reindeer. At least I have one member of our family on board with this whole Disneybound thing.

I love this one. :goodvibes I'm still trying to narrow down which characters to plan for. I've only started on Minnie and Elsa. I don't like really obvious "costuming" for adults but there's just no way to pull off a Minnie look without red & white polka dots, so I'm just going for it. :rotfl:

I just saw a picture of some one who did Minnie and it was very tastefully done. Not over done at all. I can not remember where I saw it. If I find it I will post it.

OMG!!!! I finally found my Starwars DisneyBound outfit for Starwars weekend! Let me know what you guys think. I also need an opinion on which skirt goes better.

Starting to have second thoughts about the above outfit and need some input. Can you tell which Starwars character it would represent? Any one know which skirt I should wear? I thought pants would be better but it will probally be too hot for them. I need some help here guys.

Looks like a Stormtrooper to me. IMO the black & white skirt would look better because I think pairing an athletic tank with a cotton(?) skirt would look odd.

You may also be too hot in the socks. I think you would be fine with just the top and skirt; people who are there for SWW will get the idea.

Thanks for the input. The Black and white skirt it is then. As far as the socks the nice thing about them is I can always take them off. My husband already said if I wear them I need to walk way ahead of him instead of with him LOL!!!!!

On the day we go to HS (and we have the Jedi Mickey lunch!) I'm just going to wear a white tshirt, white shorts, silver belt, and put my hair into two tiny bun things. :)

That sounds like a good idea! I at first thought about doing Princess Leia but then found the above outfit. My boys are doing characters from the dark side so I thought a Stormtrooper would be more fitting. A white tennis skort would work as well for Princess Leia and they are sooooo comfortable. Have fun!!!

I thought Stormtrooper as well. And, this is coming from someone who has seen the movies about once each, years ago, and finds them extremely boring and overrated. (Ducking....)

My DD (dark blonde) really wants to have temporary red dye for her Ariel/Merida days. I'm hesitant and haven't given my full approval on this yet. Wondering if there are there any that are easy to apply (spray on) and wash out well? I think a wig would be out of the question bc it's really very hot in Sept.

When I did a Snow White costume a few years ago, I styled my light brown hair the way I wanted, sprayed it with hairspray, then sprayed the black temporary color on, and then a second layer of hairspray to keep it from coming off. It lasted all day and washed out fine. For obvious reasons, I didn't try to comb it before I washed it though - it was very stiff from all the layers.

Thanks that makes me feel better. I just got my top skirt and socks in the mail today. I love the top and socks but found the top looked much better with a pair of white shorts I have so I am going with that. Over all I am very pleased with how it looks. Oh and by the way no need to duck. I understand. I on the other hand I enjoyed the movies but once was enough for me. The whole Starwars thing is for the boys. I just like to fit in with them.

Any one know where I can get a small bunch of blue hair extentions in Disney? I would like to add it to my black hair for my Silver Mist outfit. We leave Tuesday at 3:30am so I will not have time to get something here since I work 3rd shift tonightand Sunday night.

I have no decent pictures but I wore my Once Upon a Time Belle cosplay when I ate at BOG- it was great because it was a full cosplay but nobody knew but me! Muahaha! (And my parents/friend who all think I have a problem)

Yeah I can relate to that. My husband thinks I have a problem and even asked me to walk ahead of him when I am Disney bounding WAY AHEAD of him LOL!!!!

We added an embroidery machine to our family and that changed the way we dress at Disney (last year I made 7 trips). We make matching T'shirts and try and fit them to the park we are visiting. My GDD is 19, so you can image when both DD and my GDD are all matching it is fun! One of my DD's love making bows and hair bands, so we are even decked with matching hair items. We have a 10 day trip planned for this October and we are already planning out our outfits.
