Honestly I find that place yucky.

I know lots of people love it, and I am by no means a food snob, but when we ate there ( about a year and a half ago) it totally reminded me of a Chuck E Cheese... only worse... much worse. My chicken sandwich was nasty the chicken was dry and rubbery and the bun was like cardboard. And that singing thing was so annoying.. what was his name Sun E Clipse or something like that.
Last time DH wanted to get a water in there and my memories were so bad, I wouldn't even walk in LOL!

Cosmic Rays is a favorite CS of ours.
The rib/chicken combo is great and huge.
The burger is good, and that toppings bar....oh I love it!!
And last but not least the cheesesteak is very good as well and huge enough to split. I add hot peppers and wow it is so good!
Definitely a not to miss place.

OP, I didn't notice if you have kiddos in your sig, but if you do, they will no doubt LOVE to dip their fries in the cheese sauce from the fixins bar. We must eat at Cosmic Ray's on every trip just so she can get this.

We loved Cosmic Rays when we were there in Oct. We had been wanting to find it, but it seemed like we were always looking for it after it had closed during MVMCP. We hit it in Oct and had an absolutely delicious meal of BBQ ribs and chicken. It was large enough to split but if you want a large meal without paying the price of the TS restaurants, it is a great option. We also got a kick out of the alien who was entertaining us.

We're going in September and I've always wanted to try Cosmic Rays. Is it any good? I know it's a counter service restaurant and all. Just wondering if we should skip it all together and try Casey's Corner instead!!!

It's great! DH & I even split a meal, and that man will barely share a bed with me, let alone a meal! Go for it!!

LOVE Cosmic Ray's.. I always get the rotisserie chicken meal with the mashed potatoes and green beans. It is really good and a huge portion. Lots of choices so pretty much anyone can find something to eat.

Cosmic Rays is nice because you can sit down inside. That is not really an option at Casey's Corner. There is also a larger selection to choose from at Cosmic Rays.

We have never tried it either but have plans to eat there in March. My brother really enjoyed it last year.

Ate there for the first time last year and spent the next day violently ill. Has put me off going back, I was the only one of us who ate from the toppings bar so think it came from there.

cosmic rays has a good varity and caseys is just good, if you time it right then you may see the parade (slightly blocked) or even the fireworks...

Cosmic Rays is a must everytime we go. It's nice that you can sit down and get a break from the heat. Their rib and chicken combo is really good.

It's nice to go there and get real food. I also like the turkey bacon wrap. It's actually better than the chicken wrap at Pecos Bill's.

Yes, as indicated in the menu posted upthread, you can order a combo of chicken and ribs, or just chicken, or just ribs.

If you're on the Dining Plan, they'll allow you to choose an iced cappuccino for your beverage.

I love the place. First time I went there, the burger was meh. Second time, I found the fixins bar so it was much better. And I sit where I can listen to Sunny Eclipse while I eat.

One of these days, guess I'll try the other options....

While the food is like any other counter service in Disney, the entertainment can be fun. I love Cosmic Ray's and always try to eat there during off hours when I can enjoy the show without the crowds. There's something about an alien on a piano that always puts a smile on my face.

Cosmic Ray's is one of our fav. park CS. My DM and I share the chicken and ribs. But yes, the way the foods are spread out can be a problem if those in your party want different foods. Luckily we all order from the same counter. Also, when it's crowded, CR can be very difficult to maneuver around. Getting a table can also be hard. I rec. not going during primetime dining when MK is crowded. Before 12 or after 1 for lunch.
