from inside the magic.

Bwang123 your bug made me want to hit my screen. LOL

If it were one accuser, or perhaps even two, I might agree. But there are so, so, so many boys/men who tell the same sordid stories that I have a difficult time believing that they are all making it up. Yes, he was found "not guilty" in the criminal trial, but even the defense admitted that Jackson shared a bed with several young boys. They simply maintained that "nothing inappropriate" happened while they shared the bed. A grown man sharing a bed with young boys, alone, is enough for me to be disgusted. It may not be illegal. But it certainly isn't proper. Oh. And there is that bit about paying one boy $16 million for his silence. That never looks good.

They tore Michael Jacksons whole house apart and found NOTHING. You never heard of settling lawsuits? People and big corporations do it all the time Disney does it! It's sometimes easier to settle then to drag your name through the mud during litigation as we saw with his second trail - innocent, but people still think he's guilty.

Again never convicted of a crime. I honestly think he liked the help children, and got mixed up with people looking to make money. You obviously saw the second high profile family's lawsuit as they were scammers too.

Just pray you never get accused of anything, come out innocent, and people still judge you as if you were guilty.

Given what he was accused of, what would you expect to find? He wasn't accused of anything that would leave behind physical evidence. He admitted to sharing a bed with young boys. The boys say that "stuff" happened while they were in the bed. Jackson said all they did was "hug". You could have the FBI, CIA and Scotland Yard tear the house apart and never find a shred of evidence the supports or refutes either story. So the fact that nothing was found is neither surprising nor relevant. You either believe that a grown man shared a bed with numerous boys and they did nothing but hug, or you believe that something more happened. Either way, a grown man sharing a bed with young boys and hugging them is beyond bizarre. And no matter how much you want to defend Jackson, you cannot refute that he did this, as he admitted to it, over and over and over again.

This belongs on the Community Board.

Honestly, I think he was a badly abused child, grown up and trying to find his way back to a childhood he never got to experience. He did some things that were unwise (sleepovers with boys, dangling his infant over a balcony, too much plastic surgery, etc), but a number of these boys did come forward and testify that he was never inappropriate with them, including Macaulay Culkin. He probably should have known, or been advised, that these days a man can never be alone in the presence of a child he isn't directly related to. If there'd been anyone in his life interested in protecting him, instead of exploiting and making a buck off of him, they'd likely have set up cameras for both Michael and the boys' protection, and got him some therapy.

Even though, ultimately, he was found not guilty in a court of law, he became an object of ridicule and disgust. And now he's dead, and his children are orphans.

I am glad Captain EO will probably be there when we go back in December, and I'll go see it, though I feel very sad every time I see him or hear him sing. He was, ultimately, an excellent singer/songwriter, and he helped develop a style of dance that people still draw from (I saw a fellow moonwalking on a recent "So You Think You Can Dance"). And what is Halloween without at least a few zombies dancing to Thriller?

That reminds me of something that happened when I was at a friend's house. He went out to feed his dogs and his toddler daughter decided it was a good time to drop trou in the middle of the living room. My first thought as a dad was to go over and pull them back up. My second thought was what it would look like if he walked in as I was doing so. So I ran to the window and yelled for him to get back in the house. It's a shame we even have to think about things like that nowadays.

I wish I could remember which trip report it was on here where the writer has a picture of her husband sort of hiding behind the Cosby bust with his hand reaching out to grab at you.

Good riddance! :wave2:

I love kids.

Then your eyebrows should also be raised for these regular guests (some of whom are no longer with us):
Drew Carey
James Caan
Red Buttons
Martin Landau
Roger Ebert
Don Adams
Robert Culp
Corey Feldman
David Hasselhoff
Di ck Van Patten

That's just off the top of my head; there are plenty of others.

The man, comedian, and/or character he's portrayed his entire career, which has spanned nearly 50 years, was that of a forthright, morally, ethically conservative, wholesome person. Yes there are plenty of well known people who have visited the playboy mansion, though for someone with the reputation of Cosby being a regular guest, raised an eyebrow for me.
