Hey You Guys

we are hoping to be in universal for new years eve - has anyone any experience of the crowds??? DO the parks ever reach capacity and close at this time of year?? Are the fireworks in Universal Studios or IOA??

sorry for all the Qs but the search engine didnt bring anything up for me AGHHHHHHHHHH xxxx

We too are going to be in Universal Studios the week between Christmas and New Years. As with the previous poster, I'm curious as to the crowd levels. We were in Universal Studios on 2005 the week prior to Christmas and the crowds were manageable. Knowing how crowded WDW is during the holidays, can I expect the same, especially with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opening this year?

Historically...the week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest week of the year for all local parks and with Harry Potter opening soon, the crowds will only get worse. How much worse? We'll have to wait and see.

I was there this past New Year's Eve. It was busy but it wasn't wall-to-wall as it probably was at Disney. I'm pretty sure the parks were nowhere near capacity. If anything, everyone was at Citywalk. We left a bit before midnight and it was amazing how many people were in Citywalk.
