Has anyone stayed at Cortona Inn and Suites? If so, what did you think of it? My family and I usually stay at HOJO but they don't have any suites available for when we are coming. My sister found CI&S and though it looks great online and a really good price. I wanted to stay at Dessert Inn and Suites for closeness but she thought DI&S wasn't clean enough for my nephew to be crawling on the floor. We would like a suite for three adults, and four kids (12, 5, 2, 8months). Each adult is sharing a bed with a child and the baby will be in a portacrib. Any feedback, reviews, thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

We stayed at Desert Inn and Suites a few years ago. It was really close. It was older but clean. And I think most reviews here and said it was clean. Any hotel/motel will have dirty carpets. Just walk around in socks and you'll see what I mean. I would think with a little one, closer is better

We just stayed at the DI&S Sept. 24-30 and for $99/night for the C-1 I had not complaints at all. We were very happy with it. Carpet was clean enough. We ate food in our room generating a lot of crumbs and it was always clean when we returned. The rooms were spacious enough and I thought the beds were very comfy (others complain they're too hard). It was quiet (noisy kids above us but no noise next door).

My only complaint was the breakfast. There was white or brown (not whole wheat) bread to toast with butter jelly, butterhorn pastries, apples, coffee, milk and juice. We supplemented with Carnation Instant Breakfast and microwave sausages. By the 3rd morning we went next door to Denny's (no wait) and ordered off the value menu ($4 grand slam breakfast). My husband kept going to Denny's the next 3 mornings.

We originally had reservations for Monday to Sat. but changed them to Sat to Thur. The price had gone up from $99 to $119 but they honored the $99 when I spoke with a supervisor. At the last minute we decided to extend our trip by one day and our room was available and again they honored the $99 price.

Also, the location can't be beat. We've had to use the ART our other 2 trips to DL and being right across the street was heaven.

We stayed at DI&S last year and felt it was very clean, including the carpets. In fact we're returning later this month with a newly walking 1 year old and a 7 month old who just figured out how to crawl. I'm not at all worried about the cleanliness.

I've stayed at DI&S a couple years ago and I thought it was just fine but my sister is super particular about cleanliness for my nephew so thanks for the feedback about the carpets. I also love how close it is! Anyone know anything about the Cortona Inn and Suites? She found it online and the websites pictures look really nice but I've never even heard of it. I guess the price is really good too.
