Is the only option wrist corsages for our mothers? did you do anything different? Is there such a thing as a corsage that pins on...or is that called a boutonniere (? lol...I wish I was kidding)?

Their are boutonnieres for mother's, that's what my sister used instead of the corsages. Also, another new trend is having the mother's carry a small bouquet or clutch purse w/ flowers cascading down. I'm having none of the above because it's an extra expense and everyone knows who our mother's are (the one's walking down the aisle, lol) but if I were to do it I would pick the purse with the cascading flowers, it's unique and age appropriate. :thumbsup2

We are having corsages for both Mom's but my florist said that they can be worn on the wrist or pinned on and its up to them when they receive them. I figured thats perfect then they can just decide what they would like to do.

I also did a floral purse for my mom instead of a traditional corsage and she loved it!

We had pinned on coursages for the mothers. My planner later gave my mom a wrist band for hers so she could wear it like that during the reception.

I had a wrist corsage for my daughter's wedding and so did the groom's mother. I gave my to her planner at the reception along with her bridal bouquet because I also had my corsage preserved by Keepsake floral. It is now displayed in an oval frame on my dresser. I have been to a few weddings lately where the mothers carry a litlle bouquet I think they call them a Mussey tussey, not sure of the spelling. I don't think the pinned on corsages are done much anymore as sometimes it depends on the gown or type of dress they are wearing. The top of my gown was all lace so a pinned on corsage wouldn't have been too good.

My mom and grandmother had ones that pinned on and DH's mom and gm had wrist corsages.

Both were very pretty.
