Okay, I just got my Rebel XT on Thursday evening and had it out today trying it out.
I got some great pictures which I showed family and friends on the LCD screen periodically throughout the day. Well, tonight I sat down with DH to show him all I had taken when one of the pictures was made smaller on the screen and it said beneath it "corrupt data"!
Now this picture was fine all day and nothing was touched---what are some reasons why would it say "corrupt data"?

I have never seen this on a Canon Camera but I would download all your images to your PC ASAP.

Format the card in the camera and try to reproduce the phenomenon with the same card, and then try to reproduce it with a different card. Hopefully you wont be able to, but if it happens again with the same card but not the different card you have located the issue.
