We had dinner at CRT for our anniversary. After finishing our desserts, the waiter presented us with a chocolate slipper dessert with Happy Anniversary written on it. I was totally shocked and thought how nice it was that they did this. So we forced a little by eating the fresh fruit on the place but asked for a box to take the rest home. When he brought the box, he then brought a bill for the slipper! I commented that I thought it was CRTs gift to us since I hadn't ordered it. He just kind of laughed and said 'oh well' and walked away. So I paid for it just because I didn't want to spoil the evening. Well, we got back yesterday and I was reviewing the entire vacation to by coworkers and the boss asked if I liked the dessert he sent to our table. Turns out that he ordered and paid for the slipper dessert before we arrived. My question now is how do I get a refund for either myself or the boss and how did this happen??? Surely they had a record of it being paid for when it was ordered. Thanks for any advice.
