I've looked at the advance purchase price for the 4-day Hopper Plus versus the new MYW tickets. It seems that if I plan on hopping for four days and visiting TL on one day, I come out way, way, way ahead with the old ticket plan - - by at least $40/ticket.
The only advantage I see with the new plan is you get 3 plusses with 4 days instead of 1, but I wouldn't have time to use them all. Also, it seems like the ratio of 3 plusses for a 4-day Hopper would be too high for most WDW vacation planners.
The one part of the new ticket plan that I don't like is the additional payment for the no expiration option. Clearly, many people will leave unused days they paid for on the table and not be able to ever use them again. There shouldn't be any "risk" in buying theme park tickets, this is not the stock market.
Oh, and please sign me up for the 2-day Hopper w/plus option and no expiration for $209.00 plus tax. C'mon now, how silly is that?
Oh yeah, I still love Disney, but I'm getting the 4-day Hopper Plus while I can!

No risk.
