Coronado vs yacht club

Hi,

Never stayed at the Coronado before but have stayed at the yacht club a few times. With the discount on rooms/park tickets available at the Coronado but not the yacht we are torn between what to do. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I haven't stayed at Coronado yet, but we are booked at Gran Destino later this year. Stayed at Yacht a few times.

My thoughts - Yacht Club is awesome as you know. If you are booking at the "regular" rooms at CSR, personally I wouldn't do it, but I don't like outside corridors. You do have to take the bus everywhere if that's a concern.

During normal times I think CSR has way better (sounding) food/bar options than Yacht Club. I actually think they still do as far as lounges right now.

Pool wins at Yacht.

Gran Destino is just so gorgeous.

We've stayed at both several times. Our preference is YC mostly because we just love being in the Epcot area and being able to walk to both parks. Really love the rooms since the last update there. You obviously have your favorite reasons for staying there as we do.

That said, we've enjoyed both our stays at CSR. We haven't stayed in the tower yet but have had rooms in Casitas and Ranchos. Prefer Casitas for location but found Ranchos to be very quiet. Like the new rooms. Didn't find the bus situation to be too bad and if we were in a hurry just called an Uber. We liked the food options (pre Covid). Haven't used the pools there so can't help with that. Hope you enjoy your stay which ever you choose!

There really isn't any comparison, IMHO. If you can afford it, I would stick with YC.

GDT is great, walls a bit thin. Suggest water view. Yacht Club obv has better pool and walkable to two parks, but GDT pool very good for moderate and great food options, except Toledo closed. Also close to Blizzard Beach.

I was debating between the two originally myself! I am in love with the Gran Destino tower and I actually like it better than the look and feel of YC. But YC being so close to the skyliner and Epcot sold me in the end...and I ended up picking Beach Club, haha! But only because it worked out cheaper than Yacht Club and I didn't have a preference between the two. So for me it came down to location and where I thought I'd be spending more time and we tend to eat at Epcot a lot.
