We are staying at Coronado Springs Resort next week. we stayed here once before, but we were only there for 2 nights, and we didn't really look around the resort. This time i really want to be there a little more. we have stayed many times at riverside (and we love it there, but was booked this trip :guilty: so we are going to try somewhere different :confused3 )

is there a particular area that is better than others to request?

how is the maya grill for breakfast/dinner? we are thinking of trying it out for one of those times. Is it buffet for all meal times? Is it worth it?

anything else that we really should look out for at the resort?

any thoughts?

Thanks!

Jen :earsgirl:

I love Coronado Springs.....The Grill is great! I was not too impressed with the buffett. It was priced a little high and the food wasnt that good. The lines seem to be really long but..........I stayed there twice and there was some type of business conference so the lines seem to be really long to wait and eat.
The pool is the best! Did you check it out? I like to stay there in the summer. ::MickeyMo

Depends what you are looking for...Take a look at my website below for pictures of each area.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

Cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

The breakfast buffet is great. They have a new lunch buffet. The menu is on my website below. Never tried the dinner buffet but have read many good reviews on the restaurant board.

thank you very much for your responses!!!

My DH and I stayed there this past July and loved it. I would recommended the Cabanas. We stayed in 9B. This was very nice since it was so close to everthing. Very closed to the main building. The Cabanas were also nice because they had hammocks. My DH and I just laid in one together for a couple of hours. It was so relaxing.

I can't give you any advice on the Maya Grill. We did not eat there. We did enjoy the Pepper Market though. The food was always very fresh. I loved that.

We also took a bike ride around the resort in one of those 4 person bike-things that you can rent. This was a lot of fun and we got to see the rest of the resort without having to walk it. Hope this helps!! Have fun. I wish my trip was next week.

I stayed at cornado springs in July 03 and I recomend the cabana's also , If you like to walk it is sometimes nice to walk around the resort at night , I also like the hammocks :) .

My DH, DS5, and I will be at the Cornado Springs the same weekend. Hopr to run into you. If you spot us (I'll be the one looking like Grumpy) say hello.

HI, We were just there in November. We did have breakfast at the Grill. It was a buffet and i don't think it was too great. It was a bit pricey and the food wasn't the greatest. We did not have dinner there so I can't speak to that. The pool is beautiful and has a nice little snack bar which is pretty reasonable to grab a quick bite at.We had a wonderful time and we also stayed in cabanas. I had requested 9B but it was not available so we stayed in 8b which was a short walk to El Centro and bus stop 4 was right behind us as well as the parking lot.You will love it it is so quiet. Can't say enough about it. We can't wait to go back. Have a Wondeful time!
