Coronado Springs

I had booked at the carribean beach but have read that Coronado Springs is a better resort.. anyone know which building is best...

I am doing a moderate resort because of the $ (unless disney comes up with some discount codes or something)... Is Coronado Springs a good one?

You should check out About Coronado Springs "the New" Thread has a lot of info I am booked for 10/2 thru the 10th have heard it is fabulous! just cant wait!!! Enjoy!!!

We also switced from CBR to CSR, Dh really liked the Southwestern look of CSR, we are going in 3 weeks I will update when we get back

I prefer CSR over CBR because of the pool. The Dig Site at CSR is big and there's tons of room for kids to play. They have an awesome hot tub too. I am sure I am in the minority but I loved the Pepper Market. From what I hear CBR is due for some updating but that's only hear say on my part!

My last trip was a week at the CSR. I very happily recommend it to anyone. The lake in the middle of the resort is beautiful and made for a nice relaxing walk in the evenings. We stayed in the buildings farthest from the main one and, despite our initial wish otherwise, it turned out to be perfect. There are enough bus stops around the back side of the resort that we never felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but it was nice and quiet.

I'm a deluxe kinda gal & I LOVE CSR. We stayed there once & fell in love with the whole resort. Check out Buzz's website dedicated to this Gem of a resort.
We stayed in Cabanas & found it very convienent to everything. I personally think the pool complex (The Dig Site) is one of the best on property. The Pepper Market is far & away the best Food Court on property. I really feel that CSR is a Deluxe Lite.

I guess the title of this post should be "I Love the CSR!!", and I'm going to have to agree with everyone else on this. I also agree with LBAK onthe pepper market/food court area. Food was good. WAAAAAAYy better than most walk up counter places at the parks! The pool area is really kool!

another vote for CSR.....LOVE LOVE LOVE it....we are staying there in October, my DH and DS's first time staying there....but I have stayed there and just fell in love with it, it is very quiet....i loved walking around the lake at night and early mornings when things were quiet.

U r sooooo Right on about the early morning and late nite quiet times! It's just really nice and peaceful. Almost as if u have the whole place 2 yourself!

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most preferred location.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. Some rooms within steps of the Dig Site.

Cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. cabana 9a has a quiet pool. cabana 9a also has smoking optional rooms so make sure you are clear as to what you will accept.

Cabana rooms are mostly waterview rooms or non parking lot views.

Rancho 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a. rancho 6b is also fairly close to the main pool area.

Casita 4 is close to the gym, spa and has quiet pool. THe casitas have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building.

You made a great choice. We feel that CSR is deluxe-lite. Your have the spa, gym, wifi, high speed internet all at you disposal.

We like the casita rooms but all sections are great!

Any guesses if the pool will be open in early to mid-February? We are planning a trip around Feb. 13 or so. Also, is it worth paying for a "water-view" room at this resort? We stayed at CBR 2 years ago and paid for a waterview room. Nice room but we walked to the car (on the opposite side of the building) many more times than the pool due to cold weather and a lack of time. Any opinions on that?

Is it a pain to get mug refills here? I thought I read somewhere that you need to get a ticket each time in order to use your refillable mugs.

Cookie, we have never had any kind of mug problem there.

We didn't either & we made good use of the mug - my DS who was then 12 really went to town on the soda that trip & we spent alot of time at the resort because we loved it so much. You can have it filled at the pool bar as well as PM. That was awesome.

Of all the WDW mugs we have, I still use my CSR mug every night for ice water that I take to bed with me.

You have many options for refilling your mug at CSR. You can refill at the main pool area (Siestas), the little store outside the pepper market (La Tienda), the counter service window just outside the pepper market, in the pepper market and Francisco's. No problems!
