OK- I can pay $530.00 for an offsite hotel that will give us

- INDOOR corridors
- FREE Deluxe Breakfast
- 100% satisfaction guaranteed

It is off 192. You have to take (i think) I-4 to get to 192, then it's off that.

I believe that the benefits are:
1. it's a great deal/pricewise, etc. w/ all the above.
2. it's easier to get to and from the car in the parking lot VS a disney hotel where
I have to walk from God knows where to get to the lot.
3. it's a lot closer than i'm used to (used to always stay on I-DRive)

OR SHOULD WE SPEND ANOTHER $700.00  AND GO FOR
Coronado Springs :cutie:
OR
Caribbean Beach :boat:

IF SO, WHICH IS BETTER OF THE 2?

ALSO, HOW MUCH CLOSER are these 2 resort hotels VS the 192 location to the parks???

Thanks!
p.s. 2 adults, 0 kids

It sounds like your happy with staying offsite and that is great if that's what you want. My husband and I also stayed offsite the first time we visited.
All I will say is that after that visit my husband said never again. It wasn't quite as convenient to get from the hotel to the parks as they make it seem. We liek to park our car at Disney and forget about it. We would much rather pick up a Disney bus on property and let them do the driving. We will never consider staying offsite again.
As for your next question. CBR is nice but I myself would Love to try CSR. I hear the bus service there is very good. Although it does not have corridor access it does have a great themed pool and a fitness and spa center. Good luck in whatever you decide.

I find it very easy to get to my car when I stay at CSR or CBR. It is not a long walk.

We enjoy the outside corridors. When I stay outside of Florida I like interior corridors but I enjoy looking at the landscaping while walking to my room.

Depending on where you are staying on 192 it will take awhile to get to the parks. 192 is under construction and parts of the road look like a war zone.

I don't think you can go wrong either way but think you would have a better vacation if you stayed onsite. You could still drive to the parks and it wouldn't cost to park or you could take Disney transportation.

We will only stay on site also. So much more convenient in every way. The CSR is our favorite of the moderates, because of the slide and pool at the dig site, the gorgeous landscaping, the wonderful southwest theme that is everywhere. It only took us 30 seconds from our room at CSR to our rental car. Have a wonderful time !!::yes::

i guess i'm a sucker for that FREE deluxe breakfast!!

we used to stay on I-drive and drive to and from the parks at night etc.
on I-4 and never complained... this time i figured, let's stay closer so we
planned on being off 192 (on quiet road, parkway blvd)

but now i don't know----i can't find too many reviews on this hotel

not sure if i want to be near DTD bec. i was told by hotel clerk there that
it takes 30 mins. to get to parks, where at hampton inn it only takes 7 mins.
to AK!!

I would go with either Coronado Springs or stay at a non-Disney resort as close as possible to WDW. I have stayed at CBR and CSR. The CSR resort is beautiful and the bus transportation is great!

If you are looking for a good deal that is close by WDW, you might want to try Cypress Pointe or Cypress Pointe Grand Villas. You can get some good deals at HotelKingdom.com or Skyauction.com. I don't have any first-hand experience with the resort yet, but we are planning on staying there for our December trip. You can get a two or three bedroom villa at great prices. We won a 7 night auction for about $260 total. The resort is close by DownTown Disney. The Orlando-Area hotel Forum has several posts about CPGV and short cuts to get to the parks.

When are you going? That makes a huge difference in commuting time.

We stayed offsite in April, AFTER easter, and we had a very short commute into the parks each day. Little traffic, no delays despite some road work they were doing at the time.

What worked for us was to stay offsite the first half of our stay, and do the parks. We only used the room to sleep and eat breakfast. And pack food and drinks for the next park day, which was easy with the stores nearby and the low food prices offsite.

Then, we stayed onsite, simply to enjoy the resort.

We plan to do the same next April, since it worked out so well this time.

We drove down, so we had our own car which is another factor. It sounds like most people fly, in which case it would make more sense to stay onsite.

Look at it this way, you are going to WDW. You can't go wrong!

CSR by far.

The resort is the best of the moderates (IMHO).

Bus transportation is convenient, there are several bus stops at the resort.

Once you've stayed on property you'll never go back out.

A lot can be said for either way. We have done both and not been unhappy. What could you do with that $700. extra??? Could you turn your hoppers into annuals giving you more free trips on which you could spend more and be onsite??? That is what we did for years. We stayed on 192 (it is only 2 miles away) and saved a fortune, had huge rooms, and considered that we got our annuals for free.

Now we tend to do the on site but because of my health and wanting to be a boat ride away from MK. if that were not the case we might bwe back off site on occasion as well. Last spring we split....4 days off and 3 on.

You will have a wonderful time in any case. If it is a guaranteed hotel what do you have to loose???

I stayed off site once for one night. I did not like it. I just wanted to let you know that we stayed at CSR this June and the buses were never crowded. I watched the buses from CBR and there was several times I saw a crowd. I would like to try CBR just becouse it is tropical but if transportation is important to you, go with CSR.

We also prefer on site. We stay at moderates and deluxes mostly because we love CBR and have to return every now and then. Staying on site, I think, makes it truly a Disney vacation, 24 hours a day. Staying off site would be like staying at any other hotel to me. I do think the transportation is very convenient as well. I love just hoping on a bus or on a boat to go to a park.

Have stayed at both CBR and CSR. DW and I preferred Coronado as it was a bit more of a peaceful tranquil setting. Both are very nice properties, and Id stay at either again, but CSR wins out as a more restful retreat after a full day of park hopping.

 that's just it, we're never going to be at the hotel really.
up and out eating free breakfast at 7am, then back up to get our stuff for the day and then out the door asap...

at the parks all day ( i dn't think we'll leave in the afternoon)

and then maybe maybe stop back at hotel before dinner.

(any tips w/ that??)

i heard hampton inn is very clean and nice- did u?
