Coronado Springs use of Gym?

Is it true that you have to pay to use the health club at the Coronado Springs resort? I was thinking of staying there and simply want to use their exercise equipment (bikes, weights, etc). Hard to believe that they would charge paying resort guests to use this (?)

When we stayed there two years ago there was a charge. I've heard recently that they have changed that policy and there is no fee. I would call the resort directly to confirm.

We were there in June and my husband it used it several times--no charge. It was a nice facility.

La Vida Health Club is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It's the first fitness center at a WDW moderately priced resort. It is 3,000 sq ft and has Cybex weight-lifting machines, free weights, step machines, treadmills, and stationary bikes. It also features a Precorps Transport cross training. The health club also has a 200 sq ft sauna, tanning facilities and personal training assistance.

Day Pass = $15.00
Length of Stay Pass = $25.00
Family Length of Stay Pass = $45.00 (for up to 5 members)

I remember reading on a Disney site that the health clubs no longer charge for guests at that resort.

We were just there and it is true...no more fees at any of the WDW hotels that have a gym. According to the CM that checked us in, he told me that WDW did away with the fees in June. (I guess too many people complained.) The gym at CSR is okay, not much in way of weight machines, so I'm glad that I did not have to pay to use the facility. What is really nice about CSR is that they have a changing room with showers! Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the reply. That is great news. My husband likes to use the gym and when we were at CSR over Memorial Day weekend you still had to pay. Great news. Thanks for the update.
