We just gpt back last evenng from 13 nights at CSR. I agree with the poster who said the Peppermarket was inadequate for the number of guests. While we were there the IRS had a convention and WOW!!! it was a big conference. The Peppermarket had a line all the way down the hallway alot of the time that convention went on. It was only about 4 days but while it was going on it was really packed. The parking lots were filled(signs saying, LOT FULL) in the morning because so many for the conference were driving in from other hotels to attend. They all carried these blue and black bags all the same if they were attending the conference so you couldn't miss them. It also seemed that they picked and chose between what sessions to attend because a big group would come in the Peppermarket and then run out for a session and then another group would appear during the day. The morning the conference was over it was amazing the difference. We were in Casistas 1. I saw other conferences when we were there but by FAR that was the largest!!!
I will say it was very quite in Casista's 1 at night-time, there wasn't any noise at all. I did miss having a pool close though. The Dig site was really nice but it was far and my daughter is disables. The carts did come by but they were almost ALWAYS full with people. There was a formal dinner one evening where it was evening wear (tuxedo's and gowns) for one of the conventions and the golf carts spent most of that night filled to the max driving people in evening wear to there convention dinner. It was drizzling and the carts were just packed for hours. I don;t know if it was the IRS convention because they were not carrying there blue and black bags with hteir evening attire(LOL). I htink it was the day before that conference started. !3 nights you see alot!

Because it's better than other food courts. I don't want more burgers and chicken sandwiches. I like it the way it is and don't mind the 10%. I can get steak, and a variety of food. I feel the servers earn their 10% and don't have a problem with it.This story is just one more example of what I don't like about the PM. With so many people complaining about it, why don't they do something about it? Why can't it operate like all the other food courts without this waiting in line to be seated and the pointless 10% gratuity? It wouldn't cut down on the number of people, but at least they wouldn't be lined up just to be seated, creating the long lines described above.
It just happened to be the biggest convention of the year. I for one love the set up of the Pepper Market. The food is great and the choices are awesome. I wouldn't change it for anything else. The 10% is well deserved and worth it. I like the fact that you get seated so you don't have to do the tray dance for 20 mins while your food gets cold or send a scout out in advance to hunt for a table. Plus the bring your drinks, clear the table, you get real silverware instead of plastic and cloth napkins. This story is just one more example of what I don't like about the PM. I bet the people complaining about the Pepper Market just do that complain- they don't email disney with their complaints, thus nothing is going to be done about it. I would much rather feel like I took a positive approach if I had problems with something, not just sit around and complain, complain, complain. If the lines are long at the Pepper Market go somewhere else to eat- simple as that. You aren't tied into eating at just this one place- be more flexible. Disney has tons of places to eat!!! Also I will not mind paying the extra 10% because the workers are the ones getting the money and they deserve it.
Wrong, the complete 10% goes to the servers, wait staff and chefs. They split it all. Nothing goes back to the vendor. The 10%-I'm sure a small portion goes to the workers, but most goes into the pocket of the business that owns Pepper Market (it's outsourced.)
The poll speaks volumes. Many love it as well. The one person just happen to hit a huge convention with guests from many resorts. It can happen. Plus if they changed it, what would all the CSR haters have to complain about.

It's exactly the same, almost. At PO, the buses are the only option for transportation. As for dining, you have many choices at WDW. You don't have to eat at the PM.I really can't believe what I'm reading. I'm not trying to start an argument, but couldn't the EXACT thing be said about the buses at POR/POFQ? While it is frustrating I'm sure for you to read about the people who had trouble with the conventioneers, when you had no problems whatsoever with them, or with the PM, which you have no problems with, it is the same for those of us who had no problems with the buses at POR/POFQ. What would people like you have to complain about??Really, just think about it

It is very unusual but that's why I like it. No one if forcing anyone to eat at the PM, WDW has plenty of choices.I stand corrected. 10% of the total take of the restaurant (minus the small relative number of take-outs) is a substantial sum. Now I have to wonder what the few wait staff, and the more numerous chefs are paid, hourly. Business-wise, it's probably a great deal for profit. Customers are "gifting" a large portion of staff cost. This is still a very unusual arrangement for what is, essentially, a counter service restaurant.

I don't see where she stopped you from posting your opinion but I do see that you don't like that she posted her opinion. Sorry but it works both ways.Would you please take a moment to read the topic of this thread. The OP requested the good and the bad. Some of you seem to just police all CSR threads to make sure only positive's are reported. If people were not permitted to report things they way they saw it (whether you like what they say or not) then that is not free speech. To be able to make informed decisions and weigh the pro's and con's the con's that people experience should be allowed to be stated without being pounced on for any negative listed. I stated that it was a very large conference and when it was over things changed. i also listed that being in Casistas 1, which I have been told where many convetionerrs are put was very, very quiet. It is fine that you are a CSR cheerleader and it is wonderful you found somehting you like but stopping others from posting their experiences seems very narrow minded.
I had my say and responded and you certainly voiced you opinions and I am not going to bicker back and forth, that would not be fair to other posters or the moderators.
