We didnt stay onsite this time, but we did visit the coronado springs resort and disney dude and i simply fell in love with the place.

What section did any of you stay at and loved it. We want to stay there next year, and would like to know which part to ask for when making reservations.

I am going to move this to resorts where you will have a better chance getting an answer

We stayed at Casitas 4, lagoon view.
We enjoyed the resort. I won't say I just LOVED it, but I really liked it and would stay there again.
I think next time I would be tempted to stay in the section that is to the right of El Central. I liked the theming the least. But it seemed very convenient to everything.
Unless you were in the section opposite of El Central, I don't think you could really go wrong in room location.
It wasn't until I stayed at ASMo that I realized what others were saying when they complained about CSR being *spread out*. Nothing is a bad walk, unless you are just dead tired from the parks. It is a very pretty resort and well maintained.
DH really like the Pepper Market.
We paid the extra $10 a night for lagoon view. But our room had one large window that was fogged over 100% of the time. So we never could see out of it anyway. However, I would not have wanted a room overloooking their immense parking lot either. There are a lot of laundry trucks and other service trucks going in and out at night on the back side.

Our family loves this place too. So much so, we created a web site. CHeck it our below. We love the cabana section but only because most of our time is spent by the pool and we don't mind the walk to the main building to eat. 10 more days for us and we'll be back there.

:)

Piglet203 and I will be staying there in just 33 dys and we'll be sure to tell you and everyone else what we thought about about. I'm sure we're going to love it.

We stayed at CSR this past March and thought it was great! We had requested the cabanas but when we checked in we were upgraded to water view suites in Casitas 1! I loved this location, it was very close to everything. It was great with a young child. We were so close to the main building. We were on the 4th floor overlooking the lake and had a courtyard with a pretty fountain down below. We could even see the Dolphin and some of the lasers from Epcot at night!

I was a little worried about staying the Casitas since I had heard this is where most of the convention folks stay but we didn't notice anything. I think I maybe saw one person heading to a convention from out floor. It was a little walk to the main pool, but it was very cold the days we were there so we didn't get to use the pool. We walked around the whole resort and I think all of it looks great. I would love to try the cabanas next time.

I highly recommend staying here, it was great!

I have stayed at the Cabanas and Ranchos. I really loved both but preffered the Ranchos as they seemed a bit more themed. We had Cabana 9A and it was very convenient to El Centro and we could see the beach from our room. The decore was fairly bright.
The Ranchos location was definately far away from El Centro but it was only about a 7 minute walk for me. It was really peacefull back there and the room decore is a bit more subdued. I was close to the Dig Site pool though.
I love the moderate resorts but CSR tends to bob to the top of my favorites list.

View is important. I do remember being more impressed that the balcony/room view included the ToT! ;) :jester:

thanks for your replies

buzz2001 your website was awesome

Definitely a great site! Thanks for all the info and the links. I had been going back and forth between POFQ and a BW Studio. Was looking through the threads for general info, came across this thread, then the link to the site, and now..........we changed our minds and will stay at CSR!

We had stayed at POFQ in 4/00 and loved it. Kids are older now and looking for a better water slide/pool. As adults, we are looking for more night time options this time around and this resort seems to fit the bill!

I plan on posting a new thread for details about the bus from CSR to the BW.

Nice page, Buzz. Glad you liked some of my pictures! :)

Don't forget to check out the CSR pictures at Magical Journeys

In May of '01 we stayed in Cabanas 8B. We had requested 9B and they tried to stick us in Ranchos...the farthest building! But I got her to look and she found 8B
I LOVED the theming of the whole resort and would like to try Casistas next time. I just wish there was a building closer to both the food court and main pool.

There was one thing that really turned us off and my DH would prefer not to go there again.......
There was a big convention there, actually a few. And the place was extremely crowded with "business type" people carrying cel phones and briefcases, etc.
There were no seats at the lounge the few times we tried to go in.
My DH travels alot and he felt he was on another business trip.
If we stayed away from the main buiding we were okay.

But I really loved everything else about it!!;)

We have stayed at CSR three times. (once was only overnight) and find this to be an absolutely beautiful resort especially at night. We were in the Rancheros the first time. The resort had just opened and all the landscaping wasn't in place. The second time we had discovered the DIS and stayed in Cabanas 9B. We had a standard view, but it looked out over some trees with a lake in the distance(not the main lake). No parking lot. It was a short walk everywhere including the Pepper Market, pool, and 2 bus stops.
We love the Pepper Market.
We love it.

WOW!! I think I know where I'll be staying in November!! I'll have to let my friends know about this place!!
