The Nemo show is great! Even DH loved it. Personally I think that if you feel the shows and other parts of Disney are not for adults, then why are you going?

Not all of it is but many many of those shows are.
but quite a bit is aimed at children. the rides are still some of the best in the world bar none.

Well, even for adults, I recommend the Nemo show.

There is still a lot to do at AK, especially with all the animals to see on the Pangani Forest Trail, the Maharajah Jungle Trek, and the train to Rafiki's Planet Watch.

Everyone has their own vision of the best Disney holiday and they won't all be the same. You just have to do what you want to do and get the most out of the things you choose.

It's my favourite of all the parks, though, and I just love the atmosphere and music there.

Not really into the whole musical with puppets thing not my style.
The Flights of Wonder is more what I would want to see and would expect from an Animal Park more educational info and exposure to the animals themselves.

Thanks I still think judging by the wait time apps and all the tours the park still can easily be seen in just over half a day on this time of year especially with early access. 0-10 minute waits for everything.

Let us know how it goes :-) ;-)

He's now comparing CSR to POFQ... I give up.

I can speak about POFQ. I stayed there in 2010.
NICE resort. I didn't travel with kids but other than a few here or there in the lobby I didn't see many. The pool area is small compared to other pools at other resorts but cute. I like this resort for an adult vacation. They have been renovated since my stay but it's still not anything ooooo aaaaaah for the kids in the rooms. We originally planned POFQ since January but when free dining came out we took CSR to get that deal and try something new.

I've not stayed at CSR yet but from what I've read and seen, the Dig site is more fun for kids than what I saw at POFQ, BUT as I said I didn't have kids with me so I didn't look for that kind of fun.

Hope that helps. In the end if you go to POFQ I think you will like it.
Again it's all about what you like and how much time you are in the parks vs resort.

Thanks!

We're only staying for 4 nights before going off to a villa off-site. We'll do all 4 parks on those resort days (and obviously revisit once we're at the villa). So I don't honestly think we'll get much time to explore the resort.

I think it's actually more a case of DH seeing something else he preferred. POFQ looks really lovely, and I don't mind where we stay (although having had it reserved for the last couple of months, I was all set on CSR).

He's a pain, and now I don't know if I'm coming or going, lol.

Also, I booked the DME yesterday for CSR...

when you booked did you get Free Dining? Cause if you change resorts now you would lose that, I believe.
POFQ is lovely. I can't wait to see CSR so I can see if it will be a revisit place.

No, just a room.

I'd stay at them all if I could.

I was allowed to book 3 FP+s per day based on the fact that I have 6 day base tickets (I think). That was my assumption because I was allowed to book 3 a day for 6 days of our trip. We are staying 8 nights, but I wasn't allowed to book 8 days worth so I am pretty sure it's based on the tickets you purchased.

If that doesn't solve your problem, then call the Magic Band help #. It's on the Disney site with all the other contact numbers. I had to do this to get one of my bands straightened out that I was having issues with.

After your post I checked and I only had 2 days of passes linked...thanks for pointing out what the problem might be. Makes sense. I am sure if I link another pass it will allow me to make those Fastpass+ choices!!!

I just got back from CSR. We were in business class room 9502. Literally a 5 minute walk (and I am slow) to bus stop 4 and El Centro. We never made it to the pool. There was a quiet pool close by too.

We had breakfast every morning at the lounge. Bagels, fruit, cereals and either pastry or muffin. We only made it once for any length of time at night and you had to ask for sangria or beer/wine. No problem getting it though. Snacks were hummus, cheese and crackers, fruit and chips and pretzels.

I liked not having to use snack credits for breakfast! We never used our resort mugs as we would run in and grab soda from the lounge before going to room. The resort was very quiet too. A few times we waited for busses but only coming back from parks did we stand. But we are not rope drop people. Earliest we ever got going was maybe 9:30.

Next time I think I will lay off the dinner adrs. Maybe then we will get a chance to use the pool!

Thanks for your insight. We have quick service dining but I am even thinking of dropping that. If we can get sodas in the lounge and breakfast every morning plus evening snacks I wondering if we need the QSD. We have dinner reservations at places that don't take QS and we usually just get something small for lunch....decisions, decisions.

Are you part of a "test" or are they rolling it out Permanent to CSR now?

I am a TA and we have been told that the test phase for certain resorts (CSR included) will run through October 31st (that is, people checking in by the 31st).

I got my bands yesterday and the invitation to do the testing today. It says I have till October 7 to customize them. Lol. Id say they should have tested the testing. Ha

It looks like it doesn't start til mid October. It is not available for our dates of October 1 -6.

Yeah, they didn't give us a set starting date, only an end date. It seems from what others have posted though that it is beginning in mid-October like you said.
