Are most rooms here ajoining?
How is the noise from room to room?
I am not sure what percentage of rooms are adjoining. We have rarely heard any noise from the rooms next door, though.
Hi,
I am going to CSR in a few weeks and wanted to know if it was too early to call to try and request a room in a certain area of the hotel? From what I understand, we don't want a room in the "Ranchos" area. We are a family of 4 and my kids are 2 and 5, and we'll be bringing a stroller. Any recommendations on what part of the resort is best for this situation? Most of our time will be spent at the parks.
Does anyone know if it might be warm enough to use the pool at the end of February?
Maya Grill - have read some bad reviews. Does anyone actually like it?
Thanks so much!!!
We like cabanas since it is close to the Dig Site but not too far from the main building, but some parts of Ranchos are also close to the Dig Site. Ranchos has some benefits - it is the quietest section, it is the second stop picked up on the way to the parks (stop #3, but the second stop on the parks route), ranchos 7B has a quiet pool and laundry as well as being close to the Dig Site. Ranchos are a 10-15 minute walk to the main building, but you might not mind that if you have a stroller.
If you want to be close to the first bus stop picked up - casitas 4 or 5 (casitas 1, 2 and 3 are preferred buildings).
If you want to be close to the Dig Site, it is best to say close to Dig Site, but that could be ranchos 7B, cabanas 8A or 8B.
If you want to be closest to the main building, casitas 1,2 or 3 (preferred) or cabanas 9A or 9B).
It is not too soon to call in your request. It is generally best to ask for what you want (near Dig Site, quiet area, near laundry, etc) than to request a specific building, but you can do both).
February can be hit or miss - we have been when it was in the 30s at night and when it was in the 70s during the day (different parts of the same trip).
We have only eaten once at Maya Grill and it was pretty good. It was several years ago, though.
So have had my heart set on CSR for this Nov. but cannot book it for the dates I want

.I know someone here said that there might be a convention and rooms are being held....so here is my question if a room does become available will the resort be full? I am thinking Nov. 10-18 which I hope is a slower time at disney. So if not CSR where would you go
I'd keep checking. Rooms will likely be released. I wouldn't expect the resort to be full, but if the convention takes up a lot of rooms, you probably won't see those people much anyway.
CSR is the only moderate we've stayed at. If we couldn't do CSR, we'd do AKL. If we needed to stay moderate, we would check out POR - it is currently being refurbed to get queen beds. POFQ has them too, but the theming isn't really my style.
Back from girls trip and just wanted to pop in and say hello
Welcome back!

What did you bring us?
