First, Mark and I thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers. I would like to thank each of you individually, but I'm trying not to get this thread up to 250 pages before I get back from our trip. Here is a little rundown of what went on today:

The procedure lasted less than an hour. It turns out that the stress test can be false 10 out of 100 times and Mark got one of those 10! However, with his history, it is better safe than sorry. They did not put in a stent; there is no blockage, the blood flow is fine, there is no damage to the heart, etc. The stents from his heart surgery (when he had his heart attack) nine years ago are doing their job. He will eat breakfast around 11 a.m., then they will get him up to walk and then he can go home. We should be out of here around noon or so.

Thanks again for the prayers. The DIS ROCKS!

Glad to hear he is doing well!

For the person asking about the Shampoo & Conditioner they are separate & our Mousekeeper this trip left us new ones every day even though we hadn't finished the older ones that were there. So we had plenty. There is no Body Wash though. There is Body Lotion too, along with Bar Soap for body & Facial Cleansing Bar Soap. These were replenished as well.

So glad he is doing well and it was just a false alarm! It's great that you have that info going into your trip so you can relax and enjoy your vacation.

Hmmm, 20 pages left and you will be back in about three weeks? Might not make it after all. I will post the temporary thread when we get to page 248 or so to make sure I don't miss the thread closing. It will link back to this thread but will allow us to answer any questions while you are gone. That might also give you time to construct the new one when you get back without stressing over everyone having a place to post while you are gone. No worries! ;)

YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST! Thank you.

YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST! Thank you.

You need to not have anything worrying you on your trip - not Mark's health and not whether or not newbies can find info on CSR. No stress about the thread closing when you are trying to pack the night before. Just margaritas and Mickey bars!

That is AWESOME news, Kathy!!! Enjoy your trip!!!:grouphug:

That's terrific news KatMark!! Hope you have a wonderful time on your trip! :)

Planning a trip for 2012. My DH mentioned staying at the Poly, but we are not in our room much, so I don't really wan't to spend that kind of money. I'm thinking CSR... we have 2 kids (they are now 8 and 6). We stayed at ASMu in a FS this summer (there were 5 of us) and we really liked it. We just want to try something different. Do you think DH and DD's will like CSR compared to Poly? DD's LOVED ASMu... will they like CSR? Any input will be a great help.

TIA!

..... and we really enjoyed it! I did online check-in and I don't know if it was any quicker than the other line (felt the same way last year at CBR).

We got a room in Ranchos 7A - all the way by the back parking lot - an equal distance between Stop 3 and 4 for the bus. A very quiet room, and the quiet pool was in the front of the bldg, with the Dig Site about a 2 minute walk. El Centro was a 5-minute walk from there, and I thought it was very relaxing to walk to El Centro in the a.m. for coffee. An easy walk .... especially when you consider that you walk all day long in the parks!

Last year at CBR we liked the quiet pool better than the main pool. This year at CSR we really liked the Dig Site better. It was so close to our room, and we liked the waterslide and thought it was a relaxing pool area. I liked being able to fill up our mugs there also.

The bus service was very good - quite a bit better than CBR in my opinion. I don't think we waited more than 5-10 minutes at any spot - including any of the parks - but yes, the buses were ICE COLD. We took one to DTD and I swear it started out cold and got colder every mile we went!

We ate once at the Pepper Market. I like the CONCEPT of PM, but in practice I think it needs some work. Even simple signs at each station that said "ORDER HERE" or "PICK UP" here would help. It was quiet when we were there - about 2:00 p.m. - but most of the stations had workers that didn't seem very interested in helping us - a lot of standing around talking and not making eye contact with guests. After standing by one station (can't recall which one), my sister was told she was in the wrong area to place an order and so she went to the sandwich station and got a tuna sandwich - took about 10 minutes. I got a steak/rice/bean/salsa dish and it was VERY good. It took about 8-10 minutes but everything was cooked fresh. Now, we only ate at PM once so I don't another time to day to compare the general attitude of the staff.

Our room was very clean - the beds were VERY comfortable. We didn't get any towel animals.

I thought all the CMs we encountered were good - the concierge desk was very helpful. I agree that there was no excitement ... .as another poster noted ...... but I tend to prefer the low-key so I was fine.

Thanks for the review; I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. :)

My thoughts are with you and husband. I may not know you but after reading this thread for so long, I feel like I do a little.

That's kind of a small fear I have. I have a 12yo, 9yo, 4 1/2yo. We stayed in ASMo last time. I know a lot of people don't like the Values but we really enjoyed the larger-than-life characters at the Resort. I have spent time showing my kids the pictures here and other places. We've talked about the water slide and play ground and hot tub (they LOVE a hot tub!), so I think it'll be fine. They're gonna be at Disney for Pete's sake!

I don't see what's so great about Poly. :confused3 It's horribly expensive and for no longer than most vacationers are in their room, it is just not worth it to me. The only up-side I can see is maybe the proximity to the parks and the monorail but it's not worth it to me. To each his own and that's why there are so many choices so we all are happy with what suits us and our budgets.

We've not stayed at ASMu, but we did stay at the ASSports...we were not big fans of the value; we prefer a more laidback vacation and just found the value a little too "busy" for us (however, others love them as you obviously did and there is nothing wrong with that). Our boys were 12 and 10 when we stayed at the CSR the first time and they fell in love with it. They loved the main pool and slide, the arcade and sand volleyball court. We have also, with and without the kids, stayed at the Poly. Truthfully, our kids enjoy CSR more than the Poly for the pool/slide (and the Poly pool can be very crowded), the fact that the CSR has a hot tub (which the Poly does not) and the quiet pools. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE the Poly, but for the difference in price, we are more than happy to give up the monorail access and stay at the CSR.

Good luck deciding.

Hello all,

I am back again after having convinced DH we need to do another trip next year (October 2011).

Of course CSR will be the resort again!!. Love the lake, laid back atmosphere etc.

Glad to see that you are still here Kathy with all your wisdom:worship::worship:

Now where to reqest for our stay.
1st time Ranchos 7B - loved it and requested it again
2nd time Casitas 4 - loved it and would request it again - not keen on quiet pool though it was icy!!

Where should I request :confused3 and does it matter!!!!! and will i manage to get a massage this time? Yes it was my own fault I just went in each day on the offchance they were quiet didn't want to tie the family to being back from the parks at a certain time.

Anyone going soon have a wonderful time!!

Just did our online check-in! :woohoo:

There was a glitch in the system. It wouldn't take my "near transportation" room request. I called to see if it could be added, and they couldn't add it because we have a reservation from a travel agent. I did email our TA and asked her to add "near transportation" to her fax when she faxes a room request in a few days. I hope they will look at the fax as well as the online check-in when assigning a room. It's just a little thing, but I hope that we are near a bus stop.

10 days to go!! Now I can start paying attention to the 10 day weather forecast!! :goodvibes

I'll write more later. However, surgery went well--no blockage and Mark is going home later today (after lunch sometime). Thank you for all the prayers and good wishes.

I didn't get on till last night late, but glad to hear DH is ok and recovering well. I just started posting on this thread, but I appreciate your advice and feel like I know you already. Prayers towards a quick recovery.:cutie:

Reading the posts I see where someone had a microwave put in their room. What is the cost for this?
