We are booked at Coronado Springs and expect to be granted adjoining rooms since our 4 DKs are all 9 and under. Can we just leave the interior door open and only have to carry one room key to the parks?

To use the pool will we have to show our room key? Will we have to show two room keys? Again, I would really rather only have to deal with one key during the trip.

Be careful with the word "adjoining". Adjoining means next to each other. Connecting means there is a door in between. All adjoining are not connecting. You can get keys that will open both doors. I was at POFQ with 3 friends in February. We requested connecting but got adjoining, no door in between (no big deal, all adults, actually it gave us more privacy so it worked out). All 4 keys opened both doors.

Last time we stayed at Coronado Springs we had a "suite", which was basically two rooms with the door that opened up in between them. One of the rooms had a queen (maybe a king) bed and the other had two doubles. One key opened both doors.

Don't recall ever needing a key to get to the pool at Coronado Springs - you shouldn't have to flash it at all.

Have a great trip!!
