Coronado Springs Perferred Location

Can anyone tell me which buildings would be considered perferred locations?

CSR does not have a "preferred" location or room category in your reservation is for this year and you are looking to put in a room request.

Their categories for rooms are standard, water view, and king size bed.

There are also junior suites as well.

Starting in 2011 bookings, they do have a preferred room, which is close to the convention center, main building and views of either the lake, the courtyard, or the parking lot - according to their website.

That's odd because when I just booked our May trip a "preferred" came up for us and I called and they said "preferred" was located closest to El Centro and the bus stops.

I just updated my posting; since I forgot that they may be booking for next year and not just looking to put in a request.

The preferred locations have not yet been officially announced. Thoughts are that it will be at least Casitas 1, 2 and 3 and perhaps Cabanas 9A and 9B because of being close to El Centro. As stated above, these will not be available until January 2011.

And the CM said that building is prefered also so we gave up and just asked for not the Ranchos

Oh no, my favorite buildings are 9B and 8A. It looks like everything is going to be preferred except maybe Casitas 4 and 5 and then the Ranchos. I really dislike the look of the Ranchos, so would be making a request for Casitas 4 or 5, but then again I guess everyone else would have the same idea. My understanding is that the Ranchos are the least popular area. Wait a minute: It makes sense that Cabanas 9B and 9A be preferred because they are close to the main building and that Casitas 8A be preferred because it is so close to the main pool and bus stop, but what about Cabanas 8B? I wonder if it will also be preferred? We really like the Cabana section and really detest the Ranchos. Casitas are all right.

Since the remodel, CSR is already just a tad more expensive than the other moderates (I think maybe $10.00/night). Now with these preferred rooms they are going to be quite a bit more expensive. It may be worth it though, since now you can guarantee you won't be stuck out in the Ranchos. I currently have standard rooms for five nights at CSR and three nights at the Yacht Club booked for my upcoming Dec trip. For the CSR part of the trip I have a request in for first floor Cabanas 9B or 8A. Since the preferred rooms don't start until January, I wonder what my chances are going to be get at least somewhere in the Cabanas?

I am going through the same thing with POR. My favorite building is Oak Manor in the mansions. It appears to be the closest mansion building that fits the description on the Disney website of "preferred", when you go into reservations.

After I return from my trip, I will find out when I book for next year.

Uh oh! When we stay at PORS we prefer the Bayou section. For some reason I just assumed that preferred at PORS would be the Bayous 14, 15, 18 and maybe 27. I would be really upset if I paid for a preferred room there and got stuck out in the mansions. They may be just across the bridges, but seem further than Bayous 14, 15, 18 and 27, plus we just prefer the look of the Bayous.

Hmm, preferred at CBR are the first three buildings on either side of Port Royal. It looks like most of CSR is going to be preferred, as are the nicer locations at PORS. I wonder if POFQ is going to go to preferred rooms also? At least there, no room is very far from the main building.
