Good morning (or afternoon wherever you may be).

This is my first post in the Resort boards and I had a couple of question for you regulars, specifically for those who have stayed at Coronado Springs.

My wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary and we booked a room for December. We got a rate of 165.00 for 2 nights. Im pretty sure thats a good deal. Just a quick trip for the wife and I, kiddo isn't coming along this time.

We will be arriving around 11:00 pm on the 3rd and have all day 12/4 and most of the 12/5. With such a quick trip, we are going to try to see as much as we can without killing ourselves. Love to see Wishes again on 12/4 but then again we have never seen Illuminations. Maybe there is a chance we can do both, depending on the hours.

Ok so onto Coronado Springs...
I think we got a preferred room, but I'm not sure. I know its a guaranteed King bed and I believe a waterview room.

Question 1. What location is the best to ask for when checking in?

Question 2. Or is it better to call in with the request before arrival?

Question 3. How is the bus service from there to the parks?

Question 4. I know this is a "convention" resort so is loud like the All Stars are?

Question 5. Food? How good is the dining or should we make ressies someplace else?

Any other comments insights you can give me will be appreciated. Id like to make this trip really special for my wife.

Thanks A lot in Advance!!

Jeff

I love CSR.. very pretty and upscale. I found it to be very quiet and peaceful and we were there 2 times this summer. Ask ahead for location. Personally, we like the cabanas.. 8a is great, close to dig site and buses. Many like 9b- it is closest cabana to el centro. You will love this resort. I found it to have outstanding transportation, and what i like so, is all the bus stops at the parks for CSR are right up front with all the deluxe resorts. We always eat at other locations at WDW... so have only done quick stuff and peeked into the rest. I have heard mixed reviews... we always have a car so drive to other places on property. enjoy!! i hope i have answered your questions.

CSR is a great resort for adults! However, since you have such limited time, I'd definitely make dining arrangements elsewhere in case there's a convention going on. When we were there in July, the lines for the Pepper Market were ridiculous each night. Also, with it being your anniversary, there are so many fabulous restaurants in Epcot to choose from to celebrate this special occasion. You might post on the restaurant board to get some suggestions. You can always stop off at the CSR bar & get a drink on your way back to your room - we did that & it was a nice way to end the evening. Cabana 9B is an awesome location with excellent water views & very little convention traffic. Make sure your note your anniversary on your reservation - it may help with your room location. There's a nice, large hot tub & pool bar also. Have a great trip!:D

Thank you very much for the input. Im calling CRO now to see if I can request 9B. Its probably too far out huh? Did tell the CRO CM that it was our 10 year anniversary. I hope thats helps.

Im glad to hear its a great place for adults. This will be a fun trip for us. We are really excited.

If anyone else has some ideas/comments, please feel free to share them.
