Coronado Springs HELP!!!

Going end of August - 1st couple of days at Coronado Springs than transfer to OKW grand villa. Looking for advice - saw that International Police & Fire Games are on that weekend at Coronado Springs and it is the HOST hotel. Anyone know about that event, how many in attendance, is CS big enough that I won't notice or should I move?

I have been to CSR a few times and there was often a convention. I only noticed that the buses were less crowded. Otherwise, it wasn't an issue.

It is a convention hotel. There is probably always one going on. If it bothers you ask to be in the Ranchos section. The only thing you'll be close to is the main pool.

Here's the thing...when you have conventions actively going on at the hotel:

1) things are normally quieter. 1,000 adults gathered are MUCH quieter than 250 families.

2) the pool is empty.

3) you can always get a seat on the bus, because people attending conventions spend very little time in the parks.

4) depending on their schedule, you may see more people at the food court.

Other than that, it's a blessing when there are conventions scheduled.

I wouldn't worry too much. As PP's have said, the buses are less crowded, there are less people at the pool, etc etc. If you are worried, ask to be in the Ranchos section but I wouldn't stress too much. You probably won't notice!! Have a great trip!
