Hi all:

I am travelling with my daughter next week to a (health related) conference and we are staying at Coronado Springs. (July 7-14) I have only been to WDW once in 2005, and we stayed at the Wildneress Lodge so I remember taking a boat alot but not the busses.

So, first in general, do you have any suggestions on how my experience will be with the busses, any tips on expediting our travels to the Parks (MK, HS and Epcot only) and what to expect in terms of bus times, wait times, etc. We have hopper tix and plan to go to 1 park in the am, retreat from the heat, and then 2nd park late afternoonish. We have never gone in the summer to any Disney property, so I am somewhat concened about the crowds, heat, and how to keep my daughter in good shape as we move about the parks.

And now for a specific question: Is this crazy: We are not needed at the conference Wednesday (8th) until around 1pm so I thought I might take dd (12) to Downtown Disney for the morning. What is the turnaround time to Downtown Disney on the bus? Is it possible to take the bus there, and a taxi back in case we get caught up in shopping, etc?

Also, what time do the shops open at Downtown Disney? I am thinking we would grab 9am ish breakfast (suggetions?) and go to Trendz and walk around a little and head back. Is this too much in too short a time?

Thanks.so.much!!!

The typical guideline on busing is give yourself 40-60 mins to get from one place to another. That includes the wait time on the bus and travel time.

The DTD shops do usually open at 9:00, but I'm not sure how changeable those hours are. Is the conference at Coronado Springs? You should make it back there in plenty of time if you're at the DTD bus stop at noon.
