Coronado Springs During Pop Warner

Hello all just a question for you guys. Me and my fiancé are booked at the Coronado Springs for 2 weeks from late November until just after the first week of December (november 28 to december 10). I just noticed that the Pop Warner guests have stayed here in the past :sad2:. Are they truly loud and unruly to the point where we may need to switch resorts midtrip? Which section of the resort do they usually stay in? We were hoping to request Casita 4 or Casita 5 for our trip what's the likelihood of us being surrounded? What about the pool, buses and restaurant areas are they always overcrowded? Thank you SO much any information will help! :thanks:

It is really hard to say-one really just has to experience staying with PW to know-some Guests find they don't mind at all while some Guests find they would rather not stay with PW.

I stayed there in December with my family as my daughter was competing at Nationals with Pop Warner. We live about two hours from Orlando but decided to stay for two nights instead of one just so we could enjoy everything and not be so rushed with practice, etc. The only place I ever saw an over abundance of cheerleaders were in the dining areas, other than that you almost wouldn't notice they were there. We swam several times and there actually weren't many kids around.

There's no telling if Coronado Springs will even be a choice moderate for Pop Warner this year. That information isn't released until early Fall. With Coronado undergoing a refurbishment this year, they'll have a portion of rooms out of inventory for a while which would lead me to believe they would not put a large group like Pop Warner at CSR. However, it's possible that the refurb will be done before then (I think ETA is Fall 2017), and in that case, I think it's even less likely they put Pop Warner there since they'll be marketing their new rooms and Pop Warner can be rough on rooms. I recall that POR stopped being an option the year after their major refurb, which was a few years ago now.

But to answer your question, I would avoid them if I could but if I couldn't, I would not go through the hassle of changing resorts mid-trip. Not every experience with them is bad. You may find them in groups around the grounds and in the food court. Sometimes by the pools late afternoon/evening. Not really on park buses. I don't know whether they keep them all in one one section or not, but perhaps booking a preferred room may be best because they will likely be in standard rooms. Preferred rooms are in Casitas 1,2,3.

I stayed at the Music resort one year with Pop Warner, and had no problems at all. I wouldn't switch resorts based on if they were or were not there.

We stayed at Coronado dec 2015 during pop warner we never felt impacted. We saw a lot of cheerleaders at the resort but never any noise issues or crowding. I just looked back and we stayed casitas 3 but I never noticed anyone around us.

I just looked at doing one night 11/30/17 before our cruise and the only options are a jr suite or one bedroom suite for Coronado. I know it's early and inventory can change quickly but I was shocked at their lack of options.
