Coronado or Saratoga?

My fiance and I currently have 10 nights booked in a standard room at Coronado Springs for our honeymoon from 10/30-11/9. I wanted to stay at a deluxe since it's our honeymoon, but Coronado had the best price when we were booking. I now have a 30% off code that's good for those dates and we could switch to a deluxe studio at Saratoga Springs for about $900 more. I can't use the code at Coronado.

I have only been to Disney once (that I can remember, I was 2 for my first trip) and we stayed in the cabins at Fort Wilderness. That was 17 years ago so I'm not familiar with either of these resorts and this is my first time booking a trip to WDW.

Is staying at a deluxe worth the extra money? Based on other trip totals I've seen here, it already seems like we're paying a bit more than others. The totals below include 10 nights, DDP, 10 day park hopper + water parks, round trip airfare, and memory maker.

Coronado: standard room= $4,979
Saratoga: deluxe studio = $5,875

Which would you go with?

Coronado is Deluxe Lite. I guess my question is: What about a deluxe was appealing to you? Was it the idea of "we're at a deluxe?" Was it a specific amenity?

Saratoga is beautiful, but it sounds like you aren't planning any relaxing resort days. Would you use the access to Disney Springs? Would you maybe downgrade your tickets a bit?

Look at the photos of both resorts. Decide whether SSR makes your heart sing. If not, save your money. It sounds like you're planning on spending a lot of time in the parks, so keep in mind both are a nice long bus drive away...SSR seems farther away from the parks although I'm not sure that's accurate.

If you're basically going to be in your room to sleep and shower, then is the extra money (which you'd probably like to have for your wedding) worth it?

Truly only you know that.

How about Coronado business class? It includes continental breakfast in the lounge every morning plus evening snacks with beer/wine/sangria? Great location to main building, bus stop, and main pool (which is an amazing pool).

CS gets my vote to, beautiful resort, maybe upgrade to a business class, it has a great location and some nice benefits

SS is a DVC property, not a deluxe resort. The room is a deluxe studio, I think that you are saying? That is different from staying in a Disney Deluxe resort.

I would stay at CSR over SS, but I am not a DVC fan. I also like the theming better at CSR. Dining options are really goos at CSR and the pool is awesome! There is also a large hot tub, salon and fitness centre.

Sorry - edited out BC suggestion. Just noticed that you have the DDP.

CSR is a great resort. WE LOVE staying there!

If you do want to stay deluxe, how about the Animal Kingdom Lodge? Would you be able to use your 30% off there? the rate might not be much different from CSR is you can. Worth checking into, if AKL interests you at all.

I've never stayed at either, but I agree looking at resort photos/videos to see which theming appeals to you is a good idea. Allears.net has fact sheets and photos of all the Wdw resorts.
Both of those are big resorts and location can make or break your stay. So I'd read up on the resort you choose and look at resort map, then have room request noted on your res. And be sure to have it noted on res that it's your honeymoon.

I'm going to stick with CSR. I was looking to upgrade to a nicer resort, but SSR was the only one somewhat close in price. After looking at the pictures some more, I'm not really feeling it. I would love to upgrade to AKL or WL, but that costs way more than SSR.

I thought about business class, but it's not available during our stay. The only thing available at CSR is a 1 bedroom suite for more than twice the price of SSR. POR and POFQ are completely booked as well. CBR only has pirate rooms available.
