We have never stayed at either, but have a ressie for Coranado currently, would PO be better with dd6 and dd1? All help is appreciated!

We love Port Orleans! We stayed at Coronado Springs twice but we didn't like it that much.
Port Orleans is small and easy to get around. The pool area is fun for kids. Actually I am thinking of the French Quarter, I still haven't gotten used to the name change.
French Quarter or Riverside...I would definately pick one of these over Coronado Springs.

Personally we like Coronado better. I love the look and feel of the the resort. It is large but the walk around the lagoon is beautiful. The pool is fantastic and my kids loved it. Also, the Pepper Market was great...the selection of food was excellent. I would highly recomend Coronado. As far as the moderate resorts go this is the only one we stay at. I hope this helps.

There has been a lot of debate about this....Try to "search" for info on this site. You'll find many differing opinions.
I feel that the POR is a much better themed resort. Also, there are no convention goers. Having stayed at both resorts, I felt that the CSR was too business oriented. POR was definetly our favorite of all of the moderate resorts.

I'm sure you will get a very mixed review on this question! We did not like CSR. We had a bad room there, old and dingy. Pledge was sprayed all over like it was covering an odor. I would have to say PO would be my choice for a moderate. Hope this helps.

Never stayed at POR, but having stayed at CSR, I'd at least give POR a try. CSR wasn't bad, but it didn't seem much like a Disney resort.

We have also stayed at both. My vote goes to PO. As mentioned by someone else, it is easier to get around. less spread out. I also found the food courts more younger family friendly at POR/DL. They have more choice for the kids. At CS, they have the Pepper Market. While it is fun, they charge a 10% service charge for food you get at counter service! When my daughter was 6 mos and 2 we stayed there and found it harder to deal with dining.

Hi! We stayed at the POFQ and really loved it. The theming was fun and I loved the boat ride to Downtown Disney. It's also nice to have the POR right there for the restaurants etc.. You can rent boats or bicycles too. The pool is cute with a dragon slide and there's a small hot tub. But I think this resort is better for adults then it is for kids.

I've never stayed at the CSR but we went there to check it out. I thought it was a beautiful resort! The pool looked really great, there was a sand pit with volleyball. lots of chairs, a pool bar and a kids playground and big hot tub. We definitely want to give this resort a try. We were going to this trip but there weren't any AP discounts available so we're staying at the PORiverside instead.

I've heard tons of great things about the Riverside as well, I'm really excited to try it out. It seems like a great family resort.

I've heard good things about all of them. Personally I think you can't go wrong at Disney, they are all lovely. Just pick the theme that you find the most desirable and I'm sure you'll be happy!

Have a great trip!!

I have stayed at all 4 mods. This is all a matter of personal preference, of course, but my personal ranking of the mods are:
1. PO-Riverside
2. PO-French Quarter
3. CBR
4. CSR

If staying at the CSR, I would probably put in a preference for one of the buildings closer to the food court as it is quite a hike if you are in one of the buildings on the opposite side of the lake. Actually, the pool/play area at CSR is quite nice. But for overall theming, convenience, etc., my preference is for one of the PO resorts. Enjoy your trip!!
