Which would you choose for a three night stay over Thanksgiving? It's just me and the DH.

Just got back from CSR and really did not like if for DW & myself  . I would say FQ will be your best bet. I have already booked a trip for FQ for spring break. GL in whatever you decide. :D

POR is an excellent resort. Stayed their twice and loved it both times. The boat rides to DD are beautiful.

I have stayed at all three and my favorite has been the POR French Quarter! I did like the other two but POR FQ just had something special. It could be that we were there on our honeymoon but we just liked the location, the rooms were nice, and we had great service! And we stayed there before the renovation so I am sure it is even better now!

We just got from CSR for THanksgiving week and LOVED it. The kids loved the pool and the Pepper Market and we adults loved the theming and the Pepper Market. It was a great resort. However, we are staying at POR in May so who knows, we may come back with a better opinion for it.;)

All the mods are great. I stayed at PORS last Nov and loved it and just came back from a stay at CSR and it became my new favorite moderate and I didn't think I would enjoy my stay there but I really did love it. I will note this info though, PORS was extremely quiet the majority of the time. CSR was not (then again this resort was 95% full but still felt empty at times but there was more noise) as it had plenty of people because it was Supersoap weekend, last weekend for Food & Wine Festival, the conventioners, etc. However, you could've easily have had a quiet pool to yourself, walkways to yourself and even though the main pool had a lot of people, plenty of chairs were still available. I do love this resort and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

GL in whichever one you pick and have a great time planning.

You know, I've asked alot about moderates in the past. We've always stayed at WL and, to save a little money, have thought about splitting the stay with a mod. I really believe it comes down to which "theme" you most prefer. Most of the recommendations I've received are for POR or CSR...several people had stayed at CBR before they refurbished it and had good reason to dislike it, but I'm not so sure those reasons still exist. Personally, even though POR and CSR get recommended more frequently, I just don't like the theme to either one. As a "yankee" living in the South, the idea of banjo music and bayou-type surroundings doesn't appeal to me. For whatever reason, the Southwest look doesn't appeal to either my DH or myself. SOooo, when we try a mod., it'll probably be CBR. There's a website: www.wdwig.com that has great photos of all resorts that may help you decide.
Good luck!

I pick CSR, stayed there in August and loved it!!

I really liked Coronado best, Port Orleans French Quarter second. Caribbean Beach is nice, and Riverside's theme didn't thrill me, although I haven't stayed there. All of the moderates have been great for my vacations. They're not deluxes, but they really are fantastic. :D

I vote for CSR. We stayed there this past November for the 1st time and absolutely loved it!

DH and I have stayed at all 3 and I pick POR. It's romantic and has the best theming of the 3 (theming is a matter of opinion though). I think it seems more like a deluxe. I love the South.

CBR is nice, but I live in South Florida by the beach so seeing that on my vacation doesn't appeal to me too much because I want something different. I do like CSR, but I'm just not that crazy about desert and we had a bad stay last time (too noisy and cleanliness problems). I'd pick what theme you like and what location you like.

We loved CSR! The pool was fabulous and the resort landscaping beautiful. POFQ seemed like too much like a dressed up ASMO to me. We live in the south also and I really didn't care about trying CSR but I am so glad I did. :D

These kinds of questions are useless because you will get responses for every resort. That being said, my definitive favorite of the three is Coronado Springs. The resort is beautiful, especially at night.

My most favorite is Port Orleans French Quarter. I just love the quaint atmosphere, the food court is great, and with it being a small resort, you don't have to stress over, "Oh Geez, I hope they don't put me in . . . . " because it doesn't really matter which building you're in.

I honesly did not like CSR at all when we stayed there. Maybe they have updated it since but it didnt really feel like Disney to me anyway.

We really enjoy them both and don't think you can go wrong. Good themes, good food, nice amenities and good service.

POR or POFQ has the advantage of the boat ride to DTD and the two of you may enjoy that. CSR is the newest and really is more like a deluxe-moderate if there is one.

Since it is just you and DH I would recommend POR either Riverside Mansions or FQ. The boat ride to DTD is very relaxing and the walk between Riverside and FQ is very pleasant that time of year. DH and I had a kingbed in the Mansions section and we thought it was nice and romantic. Plus Boatwrights is a nice sit-down restaurant and they have a great piano guy in the lounge.
