We're taking a largish group to the World this year so our budget requires we stay at a moderate or value resort.
After some initial research we've narrowed it down to CS, CB or Pop.

Although now I'm kind of stuck lol. I've never stayed at any of these resorts and would love some suggestions. :)

We're taking two Disney first timers - so I was wondering if any of these resorts feel significantly more "Disney" than the others, or if there's any major downsides to any of them.

Thankies much. :goodvibes

I can not tell you about Caribbean, but I can add some info for both CS and POP. POP is a great resort for families. It is very large, very active. The food court is a bit chaotic at times. It is lots of fun for kids especially. The theming is a bit more over the top Disney. Fun and energetic. CS is much more reserved and quiet. It has a very nice swimming area with a water slide. I view CS as a bit more for adults. The theming isn't quite as wild. Much more relaxed. I must say that we were there in Mid December when there weren't a lot of conventions there, so that may have influenced how quiet it was. My DH and I prefer CS over all of the other places we have stayed, but we wouldn't hesitate to stay at POP and we might choose it over CS when we are traveling with our grandkids. It really depends on what you and your group are looking for. Good luck choosing.

I haven't stayed at Coronado, but I've spent 8 nights at CBR & over 20 nights at POP. Of the two, CBR gets my vote!! :thumbsup2

CSR! Check out my CSR website for pics and info. CSR has a great pool, slide and food options.

Your going to get a ton of different opinions...
my experience at CSR was not good. THe grounds & the hotel decor are unbelievable but thats about it... I think if you dont get a preffered room your walk to the pool is crazy and when they say there is transportation on the property to take you around, you will get burned waiting for them.. The foodcourt I thought was horrible... Breakfast was the worst... Its also a convention center and I felt that they catered to them more then the vacationers!

CBR- We havent stayed there but friends of ours have and say its their favorite of the mods (our fav is POR) but they would reccomend this hand over fist anyday...

POP- I have done this hotel w/ friends not family and thought it was very fun. The Foodcourt was very big and airy. We didnt have much of a complaint w/ bus service (although they could be very crowded at times) but there was buses after buses when coming back from the parks... We also traveled w/ a large group and it fit everyones budget...

We liked CSR, but honestly it wasn't all that to me. I actually enjoyed staying at All Star Movies better.
Port Orleans Riverside was my fave though. The rooms are larger than CSR, and are the only moderate rooms that can sleep 5. I think anything you choose will be great at Disney!:wizard:

CSR is our new favorite! Just back from a great trip! Awesome pool and transportation! The rides to the park where very quick.

Definitely CSR over Pop any day of the week. The resort was gorgeous, the main pool area was fantastic. We didn't think it was that much walking to the pool, it's located in the middle of the resort. The transportation was very good to and from the parks.

I've only stayed at CBR and it was a long time ago, but we loved it then and we're going back next month. I think it depends on what kind of theming you like.

If you want to feel like you are away from it all on an island, go with CBR. If you want a fun, lively cheaper place with a lot of huge colorful icon, go with Pop. If you want a Southwestern theme, then go with CSR.

I loved CBR because it was very lush and beautiful and I felt like I got away from it all. I've never stayed at Pop, but the values just aren't for me. If it's anything like ASMu, it's too loud (in both volume and the way it's decorated) and crowded. The parks are crowded and crazy enough, I want to relax when I get to the resort. CSR doesn't appeal to me because it kind of has a desert theme, and it's hot enough down there without pretending I'm in a desert. JMHO.

I don't know of many deserts that looks like this. Only one village has a desert theme out of the three.

I haven't stayed at CBR, but I would pick CSR over Pop

I just wanted to add that I agree word for word with JRabbit. We hated CSR. It's a beautiful resort, but THAT IS IT!!!

We stayed at CBR last year and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2 We never stayed at CSR and are staying at POP in 4 days.:)

I would have to say POP...I just love the themeing and the location is right next to CBR...the food court is great, we never had any trouble with the buses and there is a nice gift shop area.

We have never stayed at CSR or POP but we love CBR! We love the beautiful tropical themeing, the white sandy beaches with hammocks, and the friendly ducks. We love the main pool which is right next to the food court, arcade, and gift shop. There is also a cabana bar next to the main pool. The room size is 340 sq. ft. and perfect for my family. There is two double sinks in each room with plenty of storage. My daughters and I love to walk around the beautiful CBR grounds and watch the boaters on the lake. I can't say enough great things about CBR! Check out Safetymom's FAQ about CBR. She has a ton of great information and pictures. Good luck with your decision.
