Coronada Springs choice?

We chose Coronada Springs for our 1st stay ever at Disney. I hope this hotel will be great for boys that are 15 and 13. What do you think?

We are staying there in May for the first time as well....I hope it is as great as everyone says. It looks fabulous.

We are staying at CSR June 3 - 8, with 2 boys 10 and 18. It's the resort they chose when we asked them what hotel THEY wanted to stay in. We stayed there a few years ago and they loved the pool, and everything else. My 10 said the slide at the AKL was not near as good as the CSR slide. I guess at 10 he has his priorities!!

just echoing the other posters here: CSR is a very nice resort....our family thinks it has the best pool area by far of any of the moderates and one of the best at any disney resort for that matter...we also found the transportation to and from the resort to be among the best we've ever had at disney....we stayed in the Cabanas section, building 8A, closest to the main dig site and bus stop #4...im sure you will enjoy CSR...

Pool view!
Short walk to Dig site.
Short walk to bus stop.

The CSR is a great resort. I stayed there in 2002 and I loved it. The main pool area is awesome. The slide there is long and there wasn't a day during my 12 day stay that I didn't go to the pool. You can also rent water mice (tiny motor boats) on the lake in the middle of the resort. I wasn't thrilled with the system at the Pepper Market, but other than that, the resort was beautiful and spacious. I stayed in the Ranchos section, which is the farthest from El Centro. I think it's the best themed section of the three. Have a great time and congrats on your first visit to WDW!

They will love it! I am "forcing" my older daughter to spend part of our stay at AKL. Though she is an animal lover she actually prefers CSR. Reasons include the pool, slide, playground, sand and hammocks. Both girls love the grounds and the walks to the bus stop and pool. They have taught us to slow down and enjoy the sights, including duscs, birds and whatever little creatures they set their sights on. She also thinks the resort is more "peaceful", though not sure what that means to an 8-year old!

Given the age of your boys I am sure they will love to set out and explore a bit on their own. It is a huge resort! Other plus: there are 2 arcades, one in main building and another by the pool. Just be prepared for them to want to leave the parks early and head back to the resort.
