In the UK, cornbread barely exists and i'm looking forward to it when i go to WDW.

Which restraunts have the best cornbread?

I make the fort wilderness cornbread at home all the time it is so good! WAnt recipe? I'm going to blog about it this week actually

There is cornbread with some of the "mom's night out" meals at the Pop Century Food Court too. You can check All Ears menus for a listing of what is served on which nights (they alternate between fried chicken and meatloaf...etc).

Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom used to have the best cornbread muffins.....I wish they'd bring those back.

Last fall we told the waitress at Whispering Canyon how much we liked the cornbread, and she brought the recipe out to us. The cornbread was awesome!

If you want to take some really good cornbread mix back with you to the UK, stop at Wal-mart or Publix and pick up some Jiffy corn bread mix ( it in little blue boxes or martha white we prefer Jiffy. It's the cake like style and not real sweet. I had some friends stationed in the UK and this is one of the items that I used to have to send to them, monthly as they could not get this product over there. Her DH would not have made it with-out his cornbread very southern family.

Just a thought so you can take so off the south home with you.

I love the corn bread at Cape May Cafe. The best part is that it's unlimited. I'm sure some people may find it too sweet, but as an Iowa girl, I love my sweet corn and sweet corn bread (in my opinion, the best corn bread is made with real Iowa sweet corn, or at the very least, real sweet corn).
The corn bread at Whispering Canyon is pretty good, and I like the corn bread served with the Mom's Night Out meals at Pop Century.
I have found that a lot of the corn bread options at WDW seem to be rather sweet. As I indicated above, that's no problem for me, as I prefer it sweet, but if you don't like sweet corn bread, you might want to take my opinions with a very large grain of salt.
Also, as the PP suggested, it might be a good idea (if you really love corn bread) to take some mix home with you. The Jiffy mix isn't bad, but I personally prefer the Betty Crocker mix if you can find it. Either variety makes a great corn bread, especially if you add real corn kernels to the mix!

Most of the cornbread on property is good, but only if you like "sweet" (like cake) cornbread. Being from the deep south, our cornbread was not that sweet. My DH is from Ohio and loves it that way.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the recipe is the same for all of them. They all taste the same to me - Trails End, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Cape May Clambake, and others.

I can still close my eyes and taste the cornbread at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. Just sweet enough, moist but firm... *sigh*

They have the recipe at allears.net, but I haven't tried it yet.
