OK, silly question...

My kids love corn dogs, but from the sounds of these things there is no way they could each eat their own. If I split it I know the fight would be ON for who gets the half with the stick.

So, will they give me an extra stick?

:rotfl: Your post totally made me laugh! I wasn't expecting your question at the end to be about getting an extra stick! Too funny.

Anyway, I would think that if they put the sticks in there (and not in some back kitchen somewhere) that they might accomodate you with an extra stick. But if not, maybe you could take the stick out before your kids see it and tell them these corndogs don't have sticks - they're too big for sticks. If your kids are extra observant and would notice a hole poked in one end where the stick was than make a hole in the other side too before you give it to them, you know, to make it even. :)

Not sure if that's helpful but that's the only other solution i could think of if they don't have spare sticks. :goodvibes

So what did you expect my question to be about???

Sorry, I hope I didn't come across as rude. :goodvibes It was just cute. I was reading it through quickly and i guess i was thinking you were going to ask something about splitting the corn dog. Something like, will they cut it in half for me and put it in 2 separate trays - something along those lines. It's just funny what we end up doing for our kids. I remember my sister (PinkBudgie) mentioned one time that when her twins were little one of them found a piece of fuzz on the carpet and the other one was upset that he didn't have one too so she had to go searching the carpets for another bit of fuzz! :lmao:

Anyway, good luck with the corn dog. Disney seems so accomodating most of the time that I'm sure if they have the sticks there, that they will give you one.

no worries, you did not come accross as rude at all, I just dont typically clissify myself as a funny person, so I was trying to figure out what made you laugh :goodvibes

give me the half with the stick and make the kids split the part with no stick. there ya go, 2 birds with one stone. the kids get fed and then so do i :) haha.

rules around here are: whoever breaks the food item in half eats the smaller piece.

Okay, good. :goodvibes I know you were asking the question seriously but it just isn't the usual question so that's why it struck me as funny.

Now, back to the issue at hand.......

Now see, my sister didn't see that question coming. However, as a mom of twins boys, I totally knew where it was going! :rotfl:

Here are two ideas.

One- buy them each a corn dog and put the rest in a plastic baggie (brought from home) for later. Yes, we brought sandwhich baggies and a few gallon size and they came in handy.

Two- Take turns. Tell them you will buy corn dogs twice. Like for lunch the next day or a lunch and a dinner. One gets the stick one time, the other gets it the next.

Ohh! Just thought of a third idea. Make the idea of getting to hold it in your hand sound cool.

Or... (just full of ideas here) Make the part without the stick a little bigger. So the one who doesn't get the stick is compensated with a bigger piece.

Good luck, and now you have to tell us how the drama eventually unfolds! :lmao:

You are all so full for ideas, thank you!

It is funny because, yes, all of the suggestions are ones I would normally plan (even bringing baggies from home), but because answers are so easy to come by here on this board I forget about all of those and just want to ask the silly questions.

And Mr Bungle-- if you happen to be in the park the same time as us next April, I will gladly give you the big half :thumbsup2

Ooooh what time in April? I will be THERE! And definitely will meet up for a corn dog! Especially if I get the stick! Sweeeeet. :)

But pinkbudgie gave the ideas I had...hope it works out!! :)

LMAO!! :lmao:

EXCELLENT rule for the kids to know about!! :rotfl: Makes perfect sense to me! :)

I didn't really care for the corn dogs in DL when we tried them once, because we're used to POGOS which are corn dogs, but aren't as thick/heavy/rich with grease. I found these corn dogs to be very, very dark in color from (over?) frying, and they weren't as yummy as all the rest of the food in DL.

Was this just me though?? I've heard such rave reviews about the DL corn dogs, that maybe we had an 'off' day with them??

You could get 2 corndogs, split each in half, kids get the ones with a stick and adults get the ones without a stick.

I agree with the buy two dogs. Either the ziplock bags or the kids get some / you get some works just fine.
Best of luck and please let us know what you did and how it went over with the kids.
