Corn bread

Has anyone ever tried making it, i just went to a local supermarket to get the ingredients for 'whispering canyons corn bread' but apparently it can be difficult to find corn meal. Someone was also telling me its difficult to make, especially for someone who isn't a good cook (I think this comment was aimed at me)...anyone had any experiences with this?

Emily .... did you know they sell mixes for Cornbread in Selfridge's in Birmingham? Just thought I would mention it

Just got back to hotel after Hoop De Doo Review. Corn bread was delicious, along with the ribs, chicken, Sangria, Sangria and more Sangria.
Eaten and drunk too much.

I read online that polenta or cornflour can be substituted, this site has polenta:
