I recently became a cord cutter, and I've never been happier about something. We stream through slingtv, Netflix, and antenna for locals.

I usually buy a digital copy of movies for the kids through uvspider.

Any other tips or tricks for cord cutters?

i recently got DirectTV now. Although it has the worst review, its got all the channels I want at the cheapest price.
Add this with my existing AT&T wireless, i can stream TV without it affect my data anywhere i want. It works pretty well too!

could be something to look at.

I do hear that the Playstation Vue has the most amount of channels for the best price.

I'm waiting for Hulu live or you tube's new service to be launched. I considered play station vue and did the free trial but didn't sign up. I do like the cloud Dvr option they have and they had both the cable news channel I watch and bravo. I was annoyed because my Samsung smart tv won't let me get the app for it so I would need to buy another roku stick. I am watching so much Hulu these days I'm not sure why I'm paying for Verizon fios.

We cut the cord last year (former DirecTV subscriber) and now use an OTA for locals (Mohu Sky), Netflix and Amazon Prime. I have been using PS Due for a couple months but can't decide if I really need it. We honestly don't use it that much. Still debating...

We cut the cord at the first part of February. The monthly cost for Dish Network had gotten obscene - $109.95 a month!

We got Hulu and Netflix, and use the streaming part of our Amazon Prime subscription. And, an antenna for local OTA TV.

I would LOVE to cut the cord but have some shows on TLC that I like and no one seems to have them. Also have a question about antenna. Is that easy to install? Does it go right in house? Does each tv need one? Thanks for your help. Close to cutting the cord

Play station vue has tlc. Every tv has to be able to stream and you have to have decent internet. If you have a smart tv you may be set. I still need something to stream it on my Samsung because I can't get the app roku or fire sticks work great.

We are working on downsizing not really cutting. We have direct tv w/ all reg channels and the premium channels-no sports or anything like that. Our plan is to get rid of the bigger packeage and go to one of the smallest ones-we watch a lot of bbc, sci, disc, hist,... The problem I have found is not the reg abc, nbc,fox...BUT I have not found another for BBC.

Anyone know if hulu, sling...has them? We also have netflix ( like the shows), amazon(really for the shipping).

You may want to look at YouTube TV or DirectTV now. if u prepay the first month, they will send u a free device. YouTube TV = chrome cast, DirectTV now = fire stick.

DirectTV has no chrome cast for iOS support. I'm currently using my computer and then casting to TV. works great! I do have a 200mbit internet line though.

I'm definitely waiting for you tube tv or Hulu live. Then I'm done with Verizon fios.

Sadly no and that's the reason I keep DirecTV. I love my sports and my local teams and even though each franchise has it's own seperate service, with those you can't watch local teams as they are blacked out.

That's what I thought. I'd miss it myself, but I could never talk DH into it!

If you don't actually live in the St Louis area -- you might be able to watch the Cardinals on MLB.TV. You can get a full season subscription to that to watch any teams game ($115) or 1 team ($85) for the season. Prices are from memory, but are roughly right.

If they watch on the local RSN (which FoxSports Midwest is), then they are in their territory and would be blacked out on MLB.TV. They redrew the maps for coverage either last year or year before so there are more blackouts now.

I get all my local sports through Playstation Vue in Boston. I just looked and they have Fox Sports Midwest as a channel for people in St. Louis in their Core Slim package which is only $35 a month. Check it out. That is the package I have and it has everything we need. We actually like it better than cable since we switched 6 months ago.

This is exactly what we do. I don't miss cable or satellite at all! My husband has a hard time missing out on some sports, but he can catch some of it online.
