I am an adventurous eater, dh and ds12 are picky meat and potato types, and bff is healthy. I am hoping we can find something at least tolerable for each :rotfl: at both venues...so please advise on the entertainment factor, novelty, and service to help me decide.

Note that I have been to Coral Sea before, but it was several years ago. DS was too small to remember and it is bff first Disney trip.

I really liked Tappen Edo.

I've seen others say that it was just "ok" for the entertainment because they have other places (habachi style restaurants) like that where they live. But it was a novel thing for us.

The food was great. My youngest dd9 (at the time) was the only one who didn't care for it - but I think she was tired and grumpy that evening, and honestly I'm not sure that any place would have pleased her that night. If you know what I mean.

I don't recall that the service was anything but efficient.

We also ate at Coral Reef- and for us it wasn't highly memorable.

Which ever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

My family really likes Tepen Edo. We try to go every trip. I have not been to Coral Reef but my daughter and her husband went last year and said the food was good but the service was absolutely horrible. They said they would not go back.

We enjoy both places, but I would choose Teppan Edo over Coral Reef. We have always had a delicious meal and great service at Teppan Edo. Coral Reef has always been hit and miss for us. I love the tanks, but both the food and service has been great at times, but less than good on other occasions.

We like Coral Reef. It is a unique experience watching the marine life while you sit. The food is usually pretty good although it has been a hit or miss situation at times.

While we have not eaten at Teppan Edo I have read that it is similar to a Benihana so if you don't have a hibachi restaurant in your area this might be a fun change for you.

If you'd like to see some of the food and the atmosphere please feel free to browse my dining review website. There is a review of Coral Reef on it in the Epcot section.

we've done both and out of the 2, i liked coral reef the best only because you have the big aquarium right there and the food was really good. teppan edo is like every other habachi grill that is around here, nothing new.
