Coral Reef has never really been on my radar. I have read so many negative reviews, and Epcot has so many great places to dine that I never gave it any consideration.

Until now . . .

I was late to the game for booking ADR's and of course I am keeping my eye out especially as the date nears, but since this was the only Epcot restaurant I could get for a dinner at a normal hour I want to see what fellow Dis-ers have to say about it. Yes, my family all enjoys seafood so that isn't a concern.

I saw the Dis Unplugged video back in late 2019 where they were pleased with their meals, but having others opinions -- especially recent visits -- would be much appreciated. (I am very disappointed they don't have the mushroom salad on the menu anymore. That looked very interesting.)

I have had far better experience than many on this board at Coral Reef.

But, I have not been since the menu was revamped 2-years ago(?).

The room is lovely, the food better priced than many of the sit-downs in Epcot.

Food wise, we simply prefer any of the places in France or Morocco, but 'best atmosphere' is still Coral Reef when dining at Epcot.

I eat shrimp & grits when available on most any menu.

Otherwise, the new menu looks boring.

But the room is something.

Our issue wasn't the food but the poor service. I don't want to be trapped there for over two hours.

We haven't been back to CR since 2006 so I'm not a good resource. The food was always good - small portions and expensive but tasty. The wait time was beyond words negative. If you decide to go I'd love to know the wait time. It's a cool place to eat - retro 70's aqua blue with banquet seating and the tanks.

We really love Coral Reef, although we haven't been since 2015. If the steak is still on the menu, it is surprisingly good for being served at a seafood restaurant.

Same. And fwiw, I'm not really a seafood person (but often others in my group have been).
