Did Coral Reef change to 1 TS? And is it worth it to go I was thinking about it but from what I hear it is so so.

For 2006 (see Disney Dining guide, sorry I don't have the link in front of me) Coral Reef is now 1 TS credit. We are going to give it a try because we figure there is no harm in trying it for 1 credit.

Happy eating! Tiger

We too will try them again if it is only 1TS. We are thinking of adding the dining plan to our May DVC reservation---woohoo. So need to start thinking of what we want to do. So happy the DVC members can add the dining plan to our reservations and no packaged needed!

My family had a late lunch at Coral Reef in Dec. The food was wonderful, but the service was the worst we have ever had anywhere, bar none! The entire waitstaff left guests waiting for 30 mins. at a time in between placing orders for drinks, meals, anything. We were all flagging down waiters, any waiter! The manager seemed indifferent. The food was very tasty, once it finally came, but the meal was ruined by the service. It's a shame, as the restaurant is so pretty. We won't be back.

You say that you had a "late" lunch?

I've had bad service durring shift changes, becaues I like eating at 3:00 when its less crowded...but sometimes the Manager has no staff,.. as he is between lunch and dinner staff change-over

Everyone has different opinions, of course, but Coral Reef is one restaurant we probably will never go back to regardless of the price/credits. We had bad service and bad food. The atmosphere can't be beat, though. So, maybe it's just a matter of priorities.

Similar experience here. Pretty restaurant, good food-- meal ruined by the haughty attitude of the rude waitress. Haven't been back!

Markstudy-We had a 2:00 seating, and I don't know what the issue was with the waitstaff. My impressions were that our waiter tuned us out as soon as we didn't order alcohol, and he was very snobby. We also had to ask him to repeat everything he said when he did deign to show up because we couldn't understand him. This apparently aggravated him, and we were pleasant about it-honest! It looked as if the tables around us were forgotten, too. I spoke to the manager upon leaving and was shrugged off. It was just not a magical meal.
