Coral Reef, suggestions on what to get?

We will be trying it in April, are crab legs on the ddp or do we have to pay oop? If so, can someone tell me the cost? Thanks

In December, the crab legs were on the DDP. An appetizer of Lobster Bisque soup, entree of crab legs and Bailey's/Jack Daniels Mousse for dessert and priority seating for the Candlelight Processional ... all for 1 TS. Keep in mind the DDP has changed and the appetizer is no longer included in the plan :sad2: If not on the plan, the crab legs were $29.99. Even if paying OOP - which we will be doing in May with DDE - the meal is well worth the price.

I had the shrimp pasta, and it was very yummy!

Here is a pic, in case you're a visual person like me! :goodvibes

I had the blackened catfish with pepper jack cheese grits. That was some awesome food!!! That was my first meal on our summer trip and no other meal could match up to it. It was wonderful!!

Just another opinion but DD and I just dined there for lunch and we both had the lobster salad and soup. Didn't think it was very good.:guilty: We had lobster bisque in France the day earlier that was fabulous so we were very disappointed with the soup at the Coral Reef. The flavor fo the lobster salad was very good but they finely shread the lobster(instead of chunking it) and mix it with mayo so there just was too much mayo in the dish for us:( I will try the grilled fish next time. We had a great view of the tank though so it help make up for the meal.

dd wants to know if the baileys jack daniel mousse is alcoholic? She saw a pic and thinks it would be a great dessert but she is nowhere near 21, lol.

yes it has alcochol in it. Just like anything that is cooked with alcohol, it loses the alcohol through the process and you just get the flavor. So if mousse is cooked :confused3 you are fine.

I also recommend the Mahi-Mahi -- its served over Israeli couscous which has larger "pearls" than more traditional couscous and is very yummy. The Mahi-Mahi has a honey-soy glaze on it. I skip the appetizer so I have room for the chocolate wave for dessert.

For our upcoming trip in July, DD11 said her only dining request is dinner at Coral Reef.

I had the steak and it was fantastic.

My wife gets this meal at nearly every restaurant and claimed it was "THE BEST EVER!" Really, she was that excited.

I just looked at the menu for Coral Reef on the Dis and it did not have crab legs. We go in March and I would love to have some crab legs. Anyone know if this is a current item on the menu?
