Hey, Everyone I was just wondering how Coral Reef restaurant was?? So reviews are very well apprecieated!

Thanks!♥

The lobster soup was to die for I ate so much that it makes my tummy turn a little to think about it. The food itself was good. I liked it and would go back.:thumbsup2

You can also go to allears.net. They have a review on all the DW dining

I went last July, can't remember exactly what I ate, but I know it was delicious!!! I only remember the bad ones!!!:thumbsup2

This is one of our favorite ts places in wdw. The kids loved their meal and dessert. Dh and I had steak meals and they were very good. The choclate wave dessert is very yummy-if you enjoy choclate I would recommend this dessert. I hope you enjoy your meal if you decide to book an ADR.:)

My family loves it. It's my DD9's favorite restaurant. The lobster bisque is yummy! My favorite dish is the catfish with grits. The tank keeps the kids entertained and gives the dining room a beautiful blue glow. Very soothing during a hot day touring.

MMMMMM... catfish and grits!!! That's what I had.... too good.... wish I was having it tonight!! My favorite restaurant!!!!

We went on 10/5 as a group of 7, had a great view of the tank and loved the food. Our waitress was very attentive and had a great time!

We ate here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. This is probably my 11th trip to WDW and the first time at this restaurant.

My mom and Dh had the Talapia, and I had the Mahi Mahi. Both were very good. The sour dough bread was probably some of the best bread at Disney.

The atmosphere was wonderful. I'm sure we will be returning.

We ate at Coral Reef for the first time this September, and it turned out to one of our favorites. The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious; the service, outstanding; and the atmosphere, top notch.

We will definitely return here in the future!

We had one experience where the service was very slow and poor. The one bad experience we had was during the free dining period a year ago and they were PACKED with people. Otherwise we have had great food and good service. Of course the ambiance is very enjoyable. I would return for sure!

Coral Reef was my favorite. I loved the food, service, and the atmosphere.

Have a wonderful trip!

We ate at Coral Reef on 10/10 for DH's bday and it was wonderful! We both had the NY strip with (what I call) scalloped potatoes and broccolini; DD had the kids' grilled chicken, pasta and broccoli. We all loved our meals, 2nd best steak we had after Le Cellier. The service was wonderful and attentive and we had a table at tank side. The chocolate wave IS all it's cracked up to be, but everyone was right, it did need a little vanilla ice cream on the side b/c it was so rich. The Baileys/JD mousse was good, but if you don't like a strong alcohol flavor, pick another dessert.

We would definitely go back!

We had my b-day dinner there this past June and it was one of our favorite meals of the trip, here is the link to that page of my trip report where I wrote a review on Coral Reef and showed pics of the food/restaraunt, etc. When planning our trip this June I asked the kids to each pick their favorite place to return to and my son said Coral Reef, it was his favorite of the trip (and that even is compared to character meals we went to;) )

Our group of 6 had a great experience at CR. It was 4 adults and 2 kids, and we all agreed that this was our favorite meal of the trip. We had a wonderful server, Roberto, and a booth right in front of the tank, and all of the food was great! None of us thought that it was too loud (I've read in other posts that it was really loud) and had a wonderful time there. We're going again on December 1st and can't wait. My sister is bummed they no longer serve the Prime Rib, but she's excited just the same. The only thing I didn't really enjoy were the augratin(sp?) potatoes and I love potatoes. I just salted the heck out of them. And I didn't really get why everyone loved the Wave so much, I just thought it was good, not great. And I love chocolate!

But I highly advise you to make up your own mind and decide for yourself. When I made my ADR's, CR was still getting terrible reviews and I went ahead and booked it anyway. I'm sure glad I did, it was by far the best decision I made that trip.

Went in September during "complimentary" dining. Food and service were excellent. We were next to the tank and it was great.

My only complaints:
1) It is a busy place and they need alot more seating in wait area. Lots of folks waiting and you wait a long time. Probably 30+ minutes and after a long day it was a long 30+ minutes.
2) My thought process was a fishtank environment would encourage a more peaceful meal and people would "soak" in the atmosphere during dinner. Not....it was very loud and children were permitted to be very loud and did not stay at their tables. It was probably the loudest restaurant we ate in all 10 days.

But I will return :thumbsup2
