Coral Reef Restaurant - Diver/menu - Discontinued for 2009

:woohoo: I just made my reservation for 11/27 for the candlelight dinner package and got a 2:30 ressie that includes the diver banner and the personalized menu (we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary) but I spoke to Nicholas at the manager's number. He gave me his e-mail address so that i could send him the info that I wanted on the menu. He also told me that sometimes you don't get the menu-it just depends on how many requests they have had for it and how busy they are, but they will do the diver banner for sure. i too will have a hard time keeping it a secret!

it's a public email address, for customer service. what's the difference between PMing everyone and their mother about it and posting it here:confused3 . If it's that big of a deal i will delete the posting and PM everyone with it. There are plenty of threads with other emails posted.

Thanks for the information about the spelling of her last name. I would have sent an email to some mystery person.

I have no idea whether she wants her email made public or not. She had given it to me via a phone message, but I didn't know how to spell her name, so I needed that information. Since I was not sure whether it was meant to be public or not, I asked for a PM.

I can think of one reason that CR MIGHT want a phone conversation/confirmation first before they begin email correspondence, but this is just a guess. I have heard that they only commit to a certain number of banners (birthday, anniversary, etc.) on any given night. After all, the diver can only do so much.

1. If 20 people send emails for every night, they could spend a lot of time on email tag going back and forth on why they cannot give you a sign for X night. A phone conversation is much quicker than a series of back and forth emails.

2. Perhaps they want to speak to you by phone in case they cannot accomodate you for X night, and would like to try and work with you on Y night instead. I have heard of this happening. Again, this is much easier to do via phone than email. "We can't do 7:00 on Friday. But we can do 8:10 on Wednesday or 7:30 on Tuesday."

3. Speaking on the phone is more personal.

Just a few thoughts.......... No idea if I'm right.

DD wanted me to sign off with the princess.

A warning to all about the banner and personalized menu's. I also had done this for my children's birthdays and it did not happen.
When we arrived they misplaced my menu's so we got a standard one with their names on it instead of the one with a personal message and photos from me.
Then somehow they sat us on the wrong side of the restuarant so we NEVER saw the banner. I could have cried I was so disapointed. My kids, since it was their birthday, kept looking for their names seeing other people having it done. We were there for a long time, because they tried having another diver go in, but we finally we just left. :sad2:
I emailed Debbi and told her what happened and she was apologetic, but what could she do.
I can NEVER hold a secret and I held that one for a long time. I was so excited.
So the moral of the story is, keep confirming.
I hope it goes better for all of you!!!

I'm sorry if I came across unkindly... I just was confused that you posted that almost immediately after this post:

Those of you wanting her email - when I talked with her today, she said that she would prefer that they talk with you via phone first - then she will have you email her pictures etc. She said it was hard to keep track of who she has talked with and who is sending stuff new. So please call her and wait for a call back - she is very good about getting back with you.

So, I was seriously confused, thinking that she had told one person not to post her email address, and then gave you permission to.

Also, it's not (AFAIK) a public email address. I couldn't find it anywhere on Disney's website. Further, with the number of spambots that are out there, I wouldn't post any email address without permission of the owner.

Anyway...no worries... thanks for listening to my concerns. Sorry if I offended in some way.

I have called Debbi and left a message. I am so glad I found this thread. It sounds like such a wonderful idea!

I called and left a message on a Sunday, but she was off work that day. I called Monday morning to let her know I'd be away from the phone until Monday afternoon, figuring she is not at work Mnday morning too early. By early Monday afternoon, she had already left a detailed message with me. So basically, it took her a few hours.

I called late yesterday, but I forgot to leave my name, but I did leave my number, should I call back? I hate to call back the very next day, and she is probably busy this week with the holidays, I think I will call her back on Thursday, if I don't hear from her first.

I hate to be another one to ask, but.....

Could someone PM Debbi's e-mail address to me, too? I have already spoken to Nicholas and all is set up - supposedly. I have sent the pictures to him. I was told I could only send in 2 or 3 pictures. I see on the menu someone else had, there were more plus lyrics, etc. I would feel much better e-mailing Debbi to make sure everything is in place.

I am going with my mother and sister. We are not celebrating anything in particular other than it's DM and DS's first time. Coral Reef is the one place my mother is looking forward to. I haven't told either of them about this surprise. I'm hoping it all works out okay.

TIA!! :flower3:

Ok.. Here's one I haven't seen asked yet.. How many pics did you get on your menues? Out of thousands, I have it narrowed down to my favorite 14, but am thinking I need to narrow it down even more.

So, any ideas on the max amount of pics?

Debbi told me some pictures, so I emailed her 7 and told her to use whichever ones she wanted.

I spoke with Debbi yesterday and she is going to do a banner for my DH and children as well as the personalized menu. She gave me her email address to email her my pictures and I have been trying to decide which pictures to email her. My problem is, I think I may have her email address wrong. Would someone please pm me the email address that they have. The reason I'm afraid the address I have is wrong is because I have her last name spelled differently than someone posted it on here. I would like to double check what I have before I email some random person my pictures. I have her last name spelled Sacleuz and I saw it posted on her as Secleuz. Would someone, who as successfully emailed her, please let me know which spelling is correct or if you would pm me her email address. Thanks!!

Now see...i was told to send as many as i want and that they can make more menus!?:confused3
Debbi was the one who told me this. I just sent her an email to ask her the max amount of pics allowed. I'll let you know what she says.

If anyone who has called and spoken with Debbi and still needs her email, please PM me. However, i agree with EMom about not giving her email out unless you have spoken with her. I made a mistake by posting it earlier and 100% agree with Emom that it is 20000 times easier to talk to someone at the Coral Reef instead of emailing them.

Also, there is a certain number to call for the CR that is the best in getting in touch with someone. Let me find it and i will post it

Coral Reef 407-560-6784

call ths number, if you can't speak with Debbi, chances are you will be able to speak with someone and get some questions answered!

There is another Phone number for CR, but no one ever calls you back or answers.

Twitch~ I feel like a moron, i didn't even read that post about Debbi not wanting emails! lol:lmao: Man do i look like a fool. I was just trying to help out :grouphug: because it took me forever to find her email after i lost it!

Anyway, no worries...thanks for the correction!:flower3:
