Coral Reef Restaurant - Diver/menu - Discontinued for 2009

Could someone please PM me Debbi's email and Phone number. I seem to be getting transferred to every other place but the coral reef, and if I do get a hold of the coral reef it keeps ringing.. Argh! hehehe

I am trying to set up a nice honeymoon lunch for my FH and I. plus it is also his very first trip to Disney! I am so excited! Thank you!

Debbie prefers phone calls... not setting things up by email. She will give you her email address to send pictures to after she makes sure everything is available for your date/time.

if you are calling Debbi's # her voicemail should pick up

Could someone tell me if I'm calling the correct #? I've called (407) 560-6636 a number of times, left messages and still haven't had someone get back to me (and it's been about a month now). I even left my e-mail and nuttin...

Can someone tell me how many pictures I should send? She said a few in her e-mail but I'm not sure how many that is? :)

Thanks

I didn't ask, but sent 6 and she said that was fine. I sense a trend..............

Thank you all so much for your Help. I have emailed with Debbi many times and we have the diver and the menus scheduled!! Should be a nice little treat on our Honeymoon!

After seeing that this could be done, I gave Debbi a call. Needless to say, I missed Debbi's return call last night, but she gave me confirmation in my voicemail that we were set up for Dec 18th @ 6:20. I had already told her our res#, date, & time when I left her a voicemail. She asked that I send a few pics and to let her know what I wanted the diver to display. I just sent her a couple of pics and my saying and she emailed be back that everything was a go!!!! YEAHHHHH!!!!
Debbi ROCKS!!!!

I agree with everyone regarding Debbi. She does in fact ROCK!!! I called her phone number and she got back to me within a couple days. She set up a diver/menu set up for Dec 1st for our Grand Gathering and she goes out of her way to make you feel important. Debbi and her staff deserve nothing but praise. Thanks Debbi for the great work you do and the friendly pleasant professional way you go about it.

Just wanted to let everyone know how great it turned out. We checked in as normal at Coral Reef and got seated within a few minutes. We were seated on the second teir. I made sure my husband sat at the seat closest to the glass. I kept on watching because I didnt know when the diver was going to come down. Anyway, he finally came down. He was tapping on the glass trying to get my hubby's attention. Finally I noticed him (at that time I wasnt paying attention) My hubby was looking around ( he didnt think the diver was pointing to him). Hubby said me??? and pointed to his self, and the diver shook his head yes. Then he put the sign up. It was great but I have to say the sign was a little small. I could not read it. Thank God hubby has better eyes then I do. My husband was so surprised!:wizard:

Just an FYI - I called the Coral Reef to arrange for a diver / menu when we are there in 2008. I was told they are looking to make change to this beginning January 1, including possibly charging for this service. They will call me back when they have made their decision as to what they are going to do.

I was told the same.

I contacted Coral Reef the other day and spoke to a man, named Reginald. I believe that was his name, about the diver and personalized menu. The man gave me Debbi's e-mail address and I haven't heard anything back from her. I hope I e-mailed the right address because the man was talking pretty quickly. The e-mail didn't bounce back. Should I e-mail her again or can someone confirm with me if I have the correct e-mail address for her. If you PM I will send you the address that I have to see if they match! Can someone help? Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! :)

I arranged for a personalized menu and diver at CR for our 10th anniversary dinner in August. I e-mailed Nicholas 6 pictures of me, DH, and DS at various locations in Disney over the years (and wedding photos too). I made sure to e-mail him a week prior to our arrival to double check on the plans and was told we were all set.

My DH was completely unaware of my plans for the menu and diver. When we were seated at CR, I noticed that the CM was carrying extra menus and was able to ask her (out of DH's earshot) if these were the personalized ones. She whispered yes. Then she sat us on the third tier (the last), all the way in the back corner of the restaurant. We could barely see the tanks. I was puzzled by this. DH and I opened the menus and he was surprised, however, Nicholas picked the worst picture of all that were sent to him (he told me to send several for him to choose from). Yes, there was only one photo, not like the others I had heard about. OK, whatever, but the third tier?

I told DH I needed to use the restroom and found our waiter. I explained how puzzled I was by our seating arrangements as I had arranged for a diver. He was very concerned and said he would speak to another CM about this and get it all straightened out. He returned only to tell me that he could move us down by the tanks (not on top of them but at a booth on the first tier) but that "no one had any information about a diver being scheduled for us." Huh? I just confirmed it a week ago!

About 10 minutes later, we see the divers enter the tank. Long story short, we DID end up with a sign, DH was VERY surprised, and all worked out for the best, however it was a touch and go for a bit.

My advice is to check, double check and check again with your contact at CR before you leave to avoid disappointment!!!

Similar thing happened to us the end of august... the diver was fine but they menus weren't. I asked about it after we were seated.. the waitress came back a little while later with the menu but with a little mermaid clip art.. no pics of my son.

We were seated on the first tier .. last table to the right if your looking at the tank. That worked out fine and the diver came to the tank in that section.. I did have to remind them about the cake I ordered. Not sure if they did it ahead of time or after I mentioned. There were not aware of it until I said something.

how long does it take for debbie to e-mail back? I sent her my e-mail about a week ago and still no word. I was wondering if someone could PM me her e-mail incase I misspelled her name some how. I would be forever greatful.

I have the diver and personalized menus arranged for our visit Nov 13, and am in the process of getting pics and message to Debbi, but I am wondering how do the divers know where you are, to show you the sign? Are they going by the pics that you sent them, and scouring the room? That seems rather hit or miss. Should I mention at check in at the podium that we have it scheduled, so that they can tell the diver where we are? Also, I read that the tables next to the glass are not the best, due to the thick glass, plus other people hovering over you while your eating to see the fish. So, do they automatically put you there, so the diver can find you? If not, and they put you in the middle of the room, how would that work?
Thanks in advance to recent diners. ( this is our first visit there, so I don't know the room setup).
