I have a trip planned the week after Thanksgiving with 21 people. A nightmare making ADR's as it was, but my daughters family wants the Coral Reef. She was looking at the menu on the Disney website and it doesn't show steak on the menu where Allears does. So my question is simply: Is there steak on the adult Lunch/Dinner menu? I appreciate any help as 2 of my grandsons will not eat fish but love the restaurant. Thanks.

There was when we were there in June.

Thanks but it looks like it may be a recent change. I called Disney Dining and they said it is off of the menu. Of course we all know how accurate that can be. If I have to try and change ADR's now I am not going to be happy.

They recently changed the menu about a month or two ago. Go by what's on the Disney website.

21 people at Coral Reef would be very difficult. I believe the largest booth seats 10 at most. Only the booths seat that many. Your party would be split up into 3 tables at least and might not sit in a way that you could talk to each other (booths are side by side along the back wall).

I wouldn't trust Disney's menus. I looked at a menu an hour before eating somewhere and the menu inside the restaurant was completely different. It was disappointing since what I had wanted was no longer available.

Not all 21 are eating at the Coral Reef. We have no problem being split up as we are doing it at a couple of restaurants. Was more concerned about the menu change as not everyone eats fish but they wanted the atmosphere of the restaurant.

It was on the menu as of mid August. Must be a very recent change.

I am thinking it is recent. A friend is going to check it out for me the next time he goes to EPCOT, he lives 10 minutes away and is always in the parks.

I don't have a problem with menus being changed per se but when ADR's have to picked at the 180 day mark and they are made based in part on the menu it is bothersome to have a drastic change like this. We will be OK as the new menu thankfully will work but if I had to change an ADR at this point it would have been difficult. I do appreciate all of the replies, thanks.

Don't trust the folks on the phone. They pulled up the same menu you can see and didn't see the dish, so they told you it was no longer offered.

I am sure they "confirmed" it by looking at the same menu you are looking at.

that said there is still steak on the kid menu. My son had this in december and it was a large portion of tenderloin tips (probably trimmed off from filets at other restaurants) with a mountain of fries. He could not finish it all. I would say that it was at least as much tenderloin as in an adult filet portion at other restaurants (it was just in 3 pieces). So if your grandsons are not teenage boys with hollow legs they can get steak on the kid menu.

Here is a pic of his steak, there was a third piece under the larger piece in the middle that you can't see in the photo:

I have also heard of them making "adult portions" of the kid's menu for an upcharge. They are willing to swap sides around if you ask as well. As a last resort you could order them each 2 I guess... 2 kid meals are STILL less than the adult steak was $$-wise.

Also for non fish there are braised short-ribs (which probably replaced the steak), pork chops and chicken. I could make any of these work with my very picky child on the spectrum. It sounds like there are plenty of non fish meat options available.

sorry just to clarify: are we asking if steak is off the adult menu or children's? I can't eat seafood and don't eat fish. my family wants to go. I am willing because I knew I could have steak. Just looking for clarification. Thank you

I just pulled the menu up on my Disney app on my phone and it states Grilled New York Strip w/ mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. It shows it available for lunch and dinner. Also there is Chicken and a Pork Chop options... and on a side note you can get the kids fish and chips in a adult portion, that pretty dang good. You can get any kids meal --- adult size from what I understand and of course with a adult meal price.

We were there last week and my brother ordered the steak (loved it by the way) and I know that for a fact because he won’t eat seafood.

I just checked AllEars and the steak is not on the menu and now I have to make some changes. We are from Kansas City and half the people in my family won't touch seafood. Sigh and since being stationed on Okinawa I love seafood and was looking forward to this restaurant.

But will they eat short ribs, pork chops or chicken?

Steak still shows on the official Disney website, so you should be safe. Sometimes the alternate websites aren't as up to date.
