Problem in a nutshell I have sent 3 emails about personalized menu/diver for dd birthday reservation and have not received any response.nada.zilch.

I keep seeing people say on here that they hear back usually within a day or two.I know that they have free dining going on right now but you would think that they would be able to acknowledge they received the emails.

We aren't going until Nov.4 adr but would hate to miss out on the diver due to fact emails weren't received(or read) within a timely manner.

I know that this is a free service that they provide that is an extra perk that is not a requirement and for that I am deeply appreciative for the service,so please don't flame me.It is just I have wanted to take family to Disney for over 10 years and I am able to do this special trip for dd birthday and want to make it as magical as I possible can,it is only going to be the two of us,dh has to work and ds(2) are grown and have to work also.

Hopefully this will turn into a yearly mother/daughter trip because my poor dh has absolutely no desire to go to Disney:sad2:I know that I have the right email address and I have the Phone # for the restaurant.

So if anyone has any ideas:idea: or suggestions they sure would be appreciated!!! :eeyore:
 
You definitely need to call and explain you've tried to reach them by email and how important it is to you to have this special magic happen for you. Make you tell them as you just said, how appreciative you are of this extra little something they do to make people's vacations extra special. A little sweet talking never hurt.:wizard:
 
I heard back next day. Are you SURE you have the right e-mail because there was one posted in another thread and it was not correct. :sad2: I would hate for you to miss out.....
 
Have you tried calling the WDW-DINE number to see if they could give you a different number or email address. I don't know if they can, but I know I would try. I hope you are able to get in touch with someone that can make it happen for you. Sometimes, people don't hear back for a week or more. I know it is difficult to be patient, but as you have mentioned, this is a free service which is currently being coordinated by one person, who has other duties as well.

Yes I am sure it is the email address that they give on the voicemail when you call the restaurant.I also have pm'ed someone with the email address and they verified that is is indeed correct.

No I haven't but will do this if I haven't received a response back by friday.

It took about a week for me to get a response back. I sent her my pictures earlier this week and have not gotten a response back from that email yet. Hope it works out for you!!
 
Debbi (from the CR) was away until tomorrow (I think:sad2: ). I tried calling to make sure all my emails were recieved and I heard her voice message that she would be away until later this week. Not to worry, she'll probably call you by the weekend!:thumbsup2

Maybe, it is getting dumped in with her spam for some reason?? I just e-mailed her on Monday, of this week and she e-mailed me yesterday??
 
Please do not post any direct phone extension or personal e-mail address for Debbi. Because she has specifically asked that the DIS not post them, they'll be removed.

This is why I asked not to be flamed but was up for suggestions seeing how it seems everyone else seems to get a response back within a few days as I stated and I have sent 3 emails since 9/07 and have yet to get any response.I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas that may help.And I realize how extremely busy she is trust me on that I just cannot figure out why noone else seems to have encountered this problem.

That was not aimed at you but at any future readers of this thread - many posters do not know that Debbi has asked us not to post her direct number or personal email.

And there really isn't any way for you to tell why she hasn't responded until she actually does respond. You could send more emails, or call and leave more messages, but I have no further suggestions as long as you know you are using the correct email and phone number.

Didn't plan to as I said in previous response I pm'ed someone with it to verify that it was the correct one. I would not want my personal information listed on the internet either so I totally understand and respect her wishes.thanks
 
Try not to worry. I'm sure you'll hear back, especially since you have time. I have not heard back, either, although I think I waited too long anyway. Hope your trip is all you're wishing for!
 
I emailed last week and rec'd a response the same day. Since we decided to have custom menus done at Narcoosee's instead....I just called and asked WDW Dine to patch me over to the restaurant directly. I talked to the manager and they have my menus all set for next week.
Perhaps you could call CR direct???

I know she verified my ADR and that the diver was available before calling me back. And I booked this 4 months ago for our Nov. 11 ADR. I would bet there is no availability for your date, especially since it's during F&W Festival.

And if she has been out of the office, that could be the reason for the delay. Especially considering she's the MANAGER of the CR AND this is FREE DINING...she's probably VERY busy.

As I SAID in above post I KNOW and UNDERSTAND that she is busy and that I KNOW that it is FREE DINING but until a few others just posted that they haven't had a response yet either I thought for some strange reason it was just me not getting a response.

I also could understand no availability for the diver but the personalized menu???????????I doubt very seriously that these are all booked up.

But I guess if she has been away that would explain the delayed response.

The first time I tried to email her it took a couple of days to hear back, she let me know that my ADR time was too late for a diver but to send pix and she would do the personalized menu. So she will answer you even if the diver isn't available. I changed my ADR and emailed her back telling her how sorry I was to bother her but that I thought the diver was just too cool and if she would please check for my new time. She answered me in about a week or so. I was starting to lose hope too. I sent her the pix and got an automated response that she was going to be out of the office until 9/16. Maybe she is just trying to get caught up. Try to hang in there, I am confident that you will hear back! I know it is hard to be patient when you are so excited about the idea. At least that is how it was for me. :)
 
I tried calling the coral reef directly about the problems I have been encountering with the no response to any of the emails I have sent and that I needed to know if there was a voicemail or some other way to get a hold of debbi or leave a message and they said all I could do is keep sending emails and maybe one would get answered!:sad2: Well I needed to call to try to get some adrs that I have yet to find availability for:sad1: and the nice cm lady asked if there was anything else that she could help me with:idea: so i told her my dilema and she transferred my call to the information line the nice cm tried to look up info for me and could not find any about the personalized menus so he asked me to hold while he called his supervisor.

Low and behold when he came back on the line he said his supervisor told him that I could only email Debbi and to verify that I was using the correct email address and the one he gave me was different(it must be her private email that I WON'T give out)and when I gave him the one I had he said thats why I wasn't getting a response because that is not her email address.So for those of you that may be having problems please try the disney information line.I just sent an email so hopefully (Fingers crossed) I will hear from her in the next few days:)
