Hubby and I have eaten at Coral Reef before and liked the food and ambience. Going this fall with our 2 boys and my mom. If you could have only one "fancy" meal, would you to to Coral Reef or Sharks at Sea World? I've only seen pictures of Sharks but looks cool - bigger windows.

We've been to both, and in fact will be doing both again this November --

but if you need to pick one -- shhhh -- pick Sharks! The room is more open, the tank is bigger, it IS cool to see all those sharks, and the food is wonderful. We often feel that SeaWorld was able to see what they did at WDW and then learn lessons and improve upon things. Not to say that we don't love WDW because we do, and we always stay on-site, etc. But somehow Sharks took the good idea from Coral Reef and managed to pull it off just a BIT better.

Are you already hip to the reservation system at SeaWorld? You make your reservation day-of, at the park, so take care of that first thing. Have a great time!

Thank you so much! No, I'm not at all hip to much of anything these days. LOL! I was leaning toward Sharks because my oldest son LOVES sharks and because the windows look even bigger than at Coral Reef. Thanks for the tip -will book it as soon as we arrive that day : )

There's a hostess stand out in front of Sharks restaurant -- be there at 10 a.m. to book your meal reservation; SeaWorld normally opens at 9 a.m. but you can double-check everything on their site for day of your visit.

If you don't have your SeaWorld tickets yet, they are still offering a SeaWorld Cares deal for $5 tickets for kids.

I have done both as well and I would chose Sharks hands down. The food is better, the sharks are really neat. We had a seat right by the tank and it was breathtaking. The one thing I would change is I basically ran at rope drop to get my ressie in for that day the first time and it was not necessary. No one else was heading my direction. I am used to the madness of Disney ADRs. The second trip last year I wandered over around noon and got a ADR for 4:30 with ease. I would say go early to get the ressie, but you don't have to run.

I've been wondering this too - thanks for asking OP. :thumbsup2

I was leaning toward Sharks, but now you guys have convinced me. :goodvibes
