Does coral reef still do the diver with special signs? We are going for ds's 4th and would love to do it. I heard somewhere that they have stopped doing it. Anyone gone recently and had it done?

I wish they would bring back the divers and just charge a fee. Seems like it would really complement their "What will you celebrate?" theme! :confused3

If you look at this Twitter pic, the divers are indeed still diving as of today. I am unsure if this is only offered to Grand Gathering groups or what, but the Berts Big Adventure charity is at Epcot tonight dining at the Coral Reef and one of the DJ's Tweeted this photo a little bit ago.

Hmmmmm :confused3

They don't do it anymore. Yes there are still divers in the tanks( there is a scuba program) But they do not do the signs and personalized menus anymore.Apparently, The women who arranged them is no longer with the restaurant, and the requests were getting out of hand. So it isn't offered anymore. Maybe they will offer it again but with a fee attached.

Did you not see the sign in that picture? Someone made a sign. IDK who arranged for it to happen, but it just happened.

Maybe it did because it was for charity. They don't do it for everyone though.I know quite a few people have tried to do it recently including my SIL and she was told they don;t do it anymore.

We had a diver in Dec. It was wonderful. I should post the pictures because they did an amazing job! But my understanding is that they were no longer doing it after Dec. I do not know how it could be so out of hand. We sat there for 2 hours eating lunch and we were the only ones with a diver. So it is not like they divers were doing one after another after another.

1) The general public, including Grand Gatherings, cannot get divers and signs.
2) But, for certain charities, celebs, or corporate outings, anything can be done.
3) Including
. . . divers and signs
. . . closing/opening of parks for their sole use
. . . having "fans" yell and scream when the group comes into view

NOTE: Charities go through Community Affairs, which the public cannot do.
