Our dear friends are taking us to WDW MLK weekend to celebrate a 5oth birthday! I want to surprise her with a diver with a Happy Birthday sign! We have our ADR's already, when I made them the CM didnt know how I would go about getting the diver. Does anyone know how I go about doing this?

I would first suggest calling the main WDW number, 407-824-2222, somewhere around 3:00 in an afternoon (away from both lunch and dinner rushes) and ask to speak to a manager at the Coral Reef. You may need to explain to the operator who could put you through to the correct person. You may also have to leave a (detailed) message on a voice mail and then discuss it with someone at the restaurant.

Wow! That is so cool! I would love for them to do that for my mother's birthday, but I kind of feel weird because we won't actually be dining there ON her birthday. Our trip is planned for the week after, but we are making a big deal out of it because it is her 50th!

Did you call the Coral Reef directly? Did you need to speak with a specific person? Sorry for all the questions, but I am surprising my hubby with a vow renewal while we are there in April and I thought this would be a great way to let him in on the secret! TIA!!!

I just set this up for my two kids, I spoke with Debbie.
The number I used was 1-407-560-6784.
Debbie was awesome, twice someone called to make sure that I was being helped, it was very easy to do.
Debbie even asked me to email her pictures, and she is making them a personalized menu. When I asked if there was an extra charge she said it was "disney magic". I replied that's why I keep coming back!!!
I am having such a hard time keeping this a secret. My kids are going to be shocked when a diver comes down with a sign saying happy birthday!

Oh you must do this for your mother. I did it in Aug for my DH 40th birthday. His bday was 8/4 but we didn't actually go until 8/7. It was a great surprise. We are still talking about it and of course we have great memories. She would definitely love it.

I am sooooo excited!!! I just got off the phone with Meredith at the Coral Reef! She help me set up the banner for my surprise vow renewal in April! She had a lot of fabulous ideas!! On the front of the banner it is doing to say Happy 10th Anniversary and then the diver will flip it over and it will say... Will you marry me...again?! I can't wait! They are also going to personalize the menu for me with our itinerary for the vow renewal on the back side!!!

By the way, they also offer a variety of cakes including the Mickey cake. She said that if we wanted one she could arrange one for us! (They do require a CC guarantee, just in case you don't show up.)

we are alos doing a diver for my parent(surprise of course) anniversary. make sure you email them a pic so they can put it on the menu. just call the restaurant and get the email of the person you spoke to. good luck.
