Coral reef is closed in Dec? I'm trying to make ADR's for 11 Dec and keep getting an error message that it's closed.. :( my kids would LOVE to eat there!

I am trying for the same day and the CM I talked to yesterday stated that all of the Epcot restaurants are holding back the vast majority of their reservations until the Candlelight processional packages are released. This makes a lot of sense, I think the same thing happened last year.

Exactly this. CP eats a lot of availability, and they can't open up general access until CP loads.

@Candycane83 see ;)

I just got a 2 pm ADR for Beirgarten that's funny all the rest of them are unavailable for both lunch and dinner. Well hopefully they open up soon, I'm actually wanting late lunch/early dinner so we can head over to the boardwalk afterwards.. Not even interested in the CP

But that's late at night no? I should be able to get a lunch ADR.
The time of the actual CP is irrelevant. The CP dining package allows for either lunch or dinner times ( just like the Fantasmic Dining package). Historically, they hold back dining times during this period until the CP packages have been loaded into the system. Until that happens, there will be limited availability for lunches and dinners, whether you want the CP or not. Just keep an eye out for the announcement. You'll be able to book your desired Epcot meals after that.

This past May, my 2 older kids and I were able to get a table without a reservation on a Saturday (May 14th to be specific). If by December you still have not been able to make an ADR, it's worth a try to walk in and ask for a table.

Although we were not sat next to the aquarium, the experience was just a nice, the food not so much. Do not order the polenta!

Not at Disney but if you can not get in and your kids want to eat surrounded by aquariums you can always find an Aquarium Cafe somewhere. It's a Landry's chain restaurant (like Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex)

I know SeaWorld has one as well we can eat at while we're there. I'm not stressing it to bad.

Thanks guys. CR was on the top of my list. I was going crazy that I couldn't get the res.
